About MycoRelic

You are a sentient fungus, reanimating the scrapped robotic body of a long-dead machine.

Play Solo or Join Your Friends

Cooperate with your friends to solve puzzles, defeat bosses, and clear dungeons. Join your friend's world bringing your character and items with you.

Build Your Combat Style in a Classless System

Dodge, block, parry, and engage the hostile tribes and creatures of the island. Master a variety of weapons, each with their own move sets and statistics. Equip yourself with armor that suits your playstyle and aesthetic.

Scavenge Parts to Enhance Your Robotic Body

Start with a decrepit, moldy frame. Replace it to overcome the dangers of the environment, support your combat style, or enhance elemental effects. Expand your stamina, boost the integrity of your frame, and increase the potency of your fungal magic.

Wield the Elemental Powers of Ancient Fungi

Infuse yourself using the elemental power within each fungus. Combine effects to produce explosive results. Use fire to burn your enemies and scorch a path through barricades. Cast healing water to rejuvenate your friends and block roaring flames. Call upon the spiritual essence of the world and empower your allies.

Move Freely Through a Mystical Environment

Jump, air-dash, and mantle over obstacles. Hone your platforming skill and discover new pathways across stony cliffs, burning magma, noxious mangroves, and spore riddled chasms.

✦ AI summary

Players praise Mycorelic's compelling fungi-robot aesthetic, solid souls-like level design with interconnected paths, engaging difficulty, and responsive developer support, making it a strong early access title. Common complaints center on inconsistent boss difficulty that spikes sharply in later areas, unbalanced enemy damage output, wonky hitboxes on bosses, and unclear progression paths that sometimes leave players stuck without obvious solutions.

One of the best indie souls likes I've played, pretty and well designed, when your build gets online and you start understanding what you're doing it feels REALLY good... but man, hot damn does it get frustrating at times. That's just the way a Soulslike goes, obviously, but it feels specially bad at times here, where it just feels like you can't do anything at times. I understand that's a skill issue, though, so I'm still giving this a HEARTY recommendation

MycoRelic is one of those indie gems where the soul gets your attention and then the gameplay gets you hooked. The world, characters, and lore tidibits that the devs are building all add up to be greater than their parts. Have made it through all of the content available in ~20 hours while taking my time, but I will absolutely be playing again with every update as the devs add more. Its mushroom bionicles beating the ♥♥♥♥ out of eachother and its great. There are some rough edges that need work, but this is an early access review so I am not that surprised. Animation bugs locking you in place, getting stuck on random terrain, location based triggers messing up. There are also a few systems that feel like placeholders for later (e.g. healing items, some weapon attack chains). I am curious to see how dense with detail the final release of the game will be and how many more areas we will get, right now some parts of the map have nothing in them. Have spent all my gamplay time so far solo and the difficulty is just right, enough to punish spam/mistakes and encourage build experimentation.

For the love of all that is holy, why are there STILL games these days that don't let you rebind WASD ?

Idk if intended but VERY early you come across crabs, 2 husks drop per crab, You find a trader 5 mins later who gives 50~ moldmetal for the 32 arrows u can buy with the 2 husks, there are about 20-30 husks you can grab and a reset right inbetween everything... TO TOP IT ALL OFF , A bank 2 steps away making a very early VERY abusable way to store thousands of metal to insure levels are FREE! .... That aside great game very fun wish combat felt more "combo-y" otherwise fun, One other thing, I equipped a ranged/melee weapon., On PC 1 / 2 swap between your 2 weapons yet when I press for secondary it bare hands me?
