About Mycopunk

A ragtag squad of robot rejects is hired by the SAXON corporation and given one last shot at profitable glory (and avoiding the scrap heap). They are the New Atlas Hazard Crew, a ramshackle squad of exterminators sent to uncover the mysteries behind a planet-wide fungal catastrophe.

Embark on a series of dangerous planet-side missions to drive back the mycological menace. Could this be a simple natural disaster like they claim? And did SAXON really misfile your taxes? Or was that your own fault?

FUNGICIDAL TENDENCIES

Choose from an outrageous arsenal of advanced futuristic weaponry (and some power tools), then supercharge them in a one-of-a-kind grid-based upgrade system to create the ridiculous sci-fi super-weapon of your dreams.

BREAK THE MOLD

Slaughter hordes of enemies as they corrupt and weaponize the planet's technology against you. Pick crawlies apart piece by piece — but be wary, whatever they drop could be grabbed up by another enemy.

LOOT, SHOOT, REPEAT

Every mission grants new mods to jam into your upgrade grids. Mix em, match em, and stack em. Whatever upgrades you can fit in are fair game. Piece by piece, your scrappy robots and weapons mutate into finely-tuned death machines (or horrible mistakes of engineering, up to you). Spec into being a healing support, put a deflector shield on a chainsaw, or turn yourself into a bomb (we don't really care).

ROACH MOTEL

Let off steam between missions in an orbital dropship packed with toys and games. Hang out with your friends, uncover more about the galaxy, and shoot the breeze with the insectoid SAXON veteran Roachard Cox.

I love this game. The game-play loop is very fun and does not get boring very quickly. the upgrade system is EXCELLENT and makes my brain tingle, and the ouroboros mode exemplifies this by having a TON of repeatability just by having new mod setups and combos to try that i normally wouldn't. i like most of the characters, however, i don't know if its just me but some feel much more enjoyable than others.

Mycopunk is genuinely the most fun I have had in a co-op game, it's like a mix of overwatch and shooting toilet seats lmao. The best part, you can all be the same charachter, get insanely powerful builds (especially in ouroborus, don't know if i spelled that correctly). You can literally push a boss enemy into the sky with a certain ability, like wtf. My friend did that and we were looking for the boss for a good minute. Overall, highly recommended and is now in my top 5 for games to play

Highly recommend it, but it has a bunch of annoying things in my personal opinion. To be able to rotate legendary mods, you have to reach a player level of 30 by leveling the 4 different characters at a constant -3 deficit. Enemies can burrow into the ground to end up directly next to you, making high ground pointless unless you are doing some form of parkour objective like the radio towers or you are inside of the random bunker objective which doesn't allow enemies inside. For the vast majority of the game, until you really have a solid build, you crumple like paper past difficulty 3 with (as far as I have seen so far) no real selection of mods to make up for this. These are my 3 biggest gripes with the game, but honestly I can somewhat ignore that top one. Despite these issues I've had, I genuinely enjoy this game and want to see so much more from it. Some things I'd like to see specifically being: A better perk tree (Character mods being locked behind this feels wrong for how many mods there are with how slow you level. I wish this leveling system would be replaced with instead augments to each character and their abilities, or even new abilities altogether. For exampl…
