About Mysterious Mystery, EP 1: The Duo Dilemma

Follow the story of Justin Case and Dakota Kerlin, two unlikely detectives turned friends as they join the world renown Super-human Investigations Team (S.I.T.) to solve mysteries that stump the ordinary authorities. Using their unique abilities to resolve cases, meet interesting allies, clueless bystanders, as well as nefarious rivals, and ultimately become the great mystery solving duo in this fully voiced light hearted visual novel exploring themes of self-worth and self-discovery.

A Battle of Wits

Utilize Justin's almost uncanny ability to outwit suspects in a battle of words using evidence gathered by Dakota to grill his opponent and gather confessions, open up new leads, or discover their hidden motives with over 100 unique conversations and tons of optional content!

No Stone Left Unturned

Where Dakota lacks in smarts, he makes up with an almost scary sense of intuition when it comes to evidence gathering. Able to ferret out clues from any place of intrigue, and even being borderline charming when convincing witnesses to reveal a critical piece of evidence that will lead to a major breakthrough or avenue of investigation.

Meet An Electic Cast of Characters

Your investigations will have you crossing paths with people of all walks of life. Some will be pivotal to unraveling the mysteries you contend with, others meanwhile will harbor dark secrets, and some are just innocent witnesses to the events unfolding around you.

Grow Your Team

S.I.T. has some of the foremost investigative minds in it's ranks. As you solve mysteries and complete cases you will be you will be able to recruit new (and often strange) companions with their own host of investigative skills. These matchups will allow you deeper insight into more complex cases and lead to the right conclusions.

Found this game through one of the voice actors promoting it on their page. I will say, I was skeptical it would be a low end game from the 8-bit style and low quality, but I was pleasantly surprised. This game is very well made, the story is very rich and well written. The characters are refreshing, It gave me a few laughs during the play through. I finished the first trial so far and I was overall amazed by the dynamics, the plot twists, and the ending to the first case. Nothing could've ever prepared me for a chapter ending the way this game made it. I thought I made a wrong move and resulted in a game over, yet I was severely wronged when the game showcased how creative it can truly be with its trajectory. This game is by far a very well-made ace attorney inspired game and I was hooked from the first case alone. I'll pick this up and start the next case later, but it's 100% worth the play through and your time.

This was a refreshing change of pace from games I normally play. The game is really entertaining. There was a retro game on the NES and Pc called "Deja Vu" which was an adventure style game that had a sequel "Deja Vu II Lost in Las Vegas". As a private detective you had to track down clues and use items and testimony to solve cases and Mysterious Mystery is very much that. I really liked the dialogue and the fact that the whole game contains voice acting for every character. The pixel art style is very well done as well as the anime like animated facial expressions and movement. A lot of editing and directing must have gone into this project. Something we rarely see these days, especially with the big budget developers. I think the game is also a sort of love letter to games back in the 80's and 90's. I wish we had more games like this. It really is excellent and contains a lot of comedy. You have to use your brain to put evidence together and solve the cases. I have finished the first case and I am about to start the 2nd. I highly recommend this game if you are tired of big budget gaming that's become boring and want a chill game that gives your brain some exercise and adds some l…

If you're into old retro, detective type games then this is basically for you. I came across a couple bugs like not being able to open up the menu to save and leave the game, so I had to force quit. Some of the voice lines don't match up with the text displayed, but that's not a big issue. It would be great if I could have a log tab to go back and reread the lines in case I accidentally skipped through the dialogue. Other than that, I really do like the silly grandpa during the first job we had to do and I love Moe (He's so silly). Art is pretty cute and the movements the characters makes are pretty funny. Overall, not a bad game- does need a few tweaks though.

I'm one of the voice actors of this game, and here's my overall review on it. No glaze involved. Pros: + Rich and creative story line + Plot twists that you would never expect + Cases are lengthy, giving you a nice story to break into. Cons: - Some lines have audio issues - Few bugs here and there, (but that's obviously getting fixed over time.) - Unable to skip dialogue The game revolves around Justin, the protagonist whose dream is to become a well-known detective. Working his way up the ranks with cases that have you stopping to think on every detail of evidence provided. I voice acted two antagonists in this game and I was so excited to have my friends play this and get shocked by the plot twist and realizing that I was the antagonist in both cases. Overall, for an indie developed game, I loved the whole concept and working with this team. While this 8-bit style might not be for everyone, it's a great change of scenery for those who want to experience a mystery game in a different approach and style. Thank you so much again for hiring me on this game, I loved working on it and all of the voice actors involved were amazing! I had my laughs while playing this game, a…

A fun little game, I think the comedy and music were probably my favourite parts, and while annoying at some parts the characters really grow on you. My only issues were some pretty obvious audio and visual bugs (that happened quite frequently) that really shouldn't have made it to the final cut of the game and made me think that there was no beta testing at all (Which I think all games should have at least I couple of people try it out before publishing.) While I did receive this product for free to try out on my YouTube channel I do think that this game is definitely worth the price, especially if you are a mystery enjoyer.
