Painful physics puzzles… in a fun way (trust us)!
Nebulous is a physics-based puzzle game where you must help guide Commander Dash Johnson, a trapped astronaut, through maze-like levels, seeking the next wormhole to his eventual freedom. Arrange the pieces of the puzzle so that when he falls, gravity and momentum guide him safely (and probably painfully) to the end.

Multi-dimensional levels!
Every level has up to 5 playfields, arranged in a cube. Rotate the level and move the objects in each panel, then release Commander Johnson and hope he makes it through to the final wormhole! Deal with unreliable gravity, trampolines, conveyor belts, and other fun inconveniences.

Oculus Rift VR-o-Vision Support!
The game is designed with the Oculus Rift in mind. You can interact with the world by turning your head to select and move the objects in each level. If you don’t have a headset, you can also play with the mouse.

[h1]What is Nebulous?[/h1] Nebulous is a physics-based puzzle game. The primary objective is to guide Commander Dash Johnson through maze-like levels to the next wormhole. In order to do this, you must arrange puzzle pieces so that gravity and momentum will work in his favor. As a result of the theme of the game and its character writing there is quite a substantial amount of humour involved in the script. It must be noted that the game has been developed as an Oculus Rift title. However, do you not need to own a VR device in order to play the game. Therefore the game does not have a 'must own' label on the Steam store page. You will be able to play with the keyboard and mouse or a controller instead. [h1]Is it Better with Oculus Rift?[/h1] It would be ignorant of the technological capabilities of the Rift and the way in which the game has been designed to say no. The game is certainly better when using the Rift. That is how the game is intended to be made. The game design decisions that allow the game to be played both with VR and out of VR are intelligent. I don't think VR adds anything to this game. In fact, it's probably better played on a mobile phone. If this were a .99 cents game, I don't think I would rate negatively. It's an okay puzzle game with some funny voice one-liners. There is something funny about seeing an astronaut getting pummeled through puzzle obstacles. But at $14.99 it's just crazy for this type of 'puzzle game' if you can call it that. It's more like angry birds. Except the VR adds nothing, except clunky controls. I got it on sale for $5.09 USD and that's way too much still. Rating 3/10 content does not match price, but it would be a pretty good .99 cents mobile game if it were that8 found this helpful
I have a few comments so far after playing briefly. First, when I left a level to return to the main screen and then went back in (level 3, if it matters) the music and sounds effects went silent. Second, change the controls to the more intuitive WASD. I'm already holding shift and hitting the space bar when I fail it's more natural to look around with A and D. Nebulous is a quirky little casual puzzler. It has the capacity for VR, but that doesn’t get in the way of those who choose not to use, or cannot use, a VR headset. However, for what feels like a flashy version of a mobile game, $14.99 seems a bit steep.
