It's alright at best. Had fun with it and you can (maybe) overlook how poorly put together the whole game is due to its redeemable combat system. The second half of the game (After you defeat zimmerman) is just horrid. The game will constantly throw you into gigantic corridors filled with a million bullet sponge enemies and basically limit your weapon selection to like 4 vampire ones since everything before it become useless. It's kinda weird how the game finally gives you its selling point (if you can even call it that) in the second half of the game only, which just ends up being the shadowhand with whatever vampire weapon. Those vampire weapons arent even anything new either, just buffed up versions of whatever you had before. Performance of the game is mediocre at best. It can randomly crash and can even sometimes stutter a little in some sections in the second half of it. Visuals look decent but that grain filter all over it just kinda makes it look ugly in some areas. The story does indeed exist. Its rough but good enough to give you some context to things. The endings all suck honestly.

One of the worst games I've played. Went through it on hard because I hate myself. Jarring gunplay where melee is often the best option, but half of the guns disable your main melee attack, so accidentally switching to those guns is a suicide button. Most enemies are fodder, with two or three that kind of just instakill you if you don't blow them up immediately. Bosses are all over the place in difficulty and design. Terrible visuals. Way, way too many effects like gas, dust, and fire. Levels themselves are often way too dark regardless of settings. Last few levels are red-brown landscapes with red-brown backdrops and red-brown enemies. They're also all on fire. Story is, present, I guess. I don't think the English version was really playtested since there's a few points where they included two takes in one spot, ie the full dialogue plays and then the cutscene plays again immediately but they say slightly different things. Protagonist is insufferable. A lot of story is in hidden notes you have to find and collect, which, god, I just did not care enough to do that. A bunch of cool ♥♥♥♥ happens only in cutscenes, for some reason. Try to alt-tab? Get ♥♥♥♥♥♥, loser. Enjoy the game…

This game is just not fun in the slightest. I went into it with an open mind, knowing exactly what I was getting myself into, but I still couldn’t force myself to push through. The prologue might as well not even exist, shoving the E3 trailer just randomly in there completely ruins the flow of the game. From being shown mechanical zombies with barbed wire and an extreme metal gauntlet, only to be brought back to the trench with a bolt action rifle. What were they thinking. The extremely over-the-top screen shaking for even the smallest explosion is incredibly annoying. The game’s engine and physics are abysmal, the number of times I got launched into the air by a crate or a corpse, only to land and nearly die, is ridiculous. Gameplay is equally shocking. The gunplay feels considerably weaker than just using a shovel. I wouldn’t recommend this game even if it was free.

cool premise, utter bloody mess of a game

Play this game on an easier difficulty, combat is clunky, movement and map design and physics are all rough and glitchy, game is from the grey and brown period of games. What saves it is the absurdity of the story, it just keeps going, it's WW1, it's zombies, then its giant troll creatures, then its ghosts and flying demons, then it's a dragon, then it's a robot scorpion, then you pickup a vampire glove, then you're 6 miles underground fighting vampires in knight armor, then you're even deeper fighting flame thrower rats, then you're riding a dragon, then you are in hell fighting demons to save the vampires, then you're fighting the devil. The voice acting is goofy and terrible in a good way, the story kept me hanging on through the bad combat. Pick it up on a sale. play it on easy. enjoy all the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

Tangible proof that you can have a video game that's gets torn apart by it's own mechanics fighting against each other, BUT there are glimpses of a really amazing idea that sometimes works. NecroVisioN is a videogame, a videogame that combines the horrors of World War I with.... Zombies? Vampires? Dragons!?!? Developed by The Farm 51, it follows Simon, an American who's somehow in the British Army, as he just rolls with the absolutely bonkers nonsense that he encounters with the most cheesy remarks you could thing of. The game is such a anomaly cause the setting is absolutely off the wall, the gameplay concept is promising but the execution is held back by jank and too many mechanics conflicting with each other, and the tone is absolutely all over the place it's so hard to figure out if the game itself thinks you should take it seriously or not. Gameplay of NercoVisioN at it's core is a FPS of it's time mixed with duel-wielding melee gun combat with superpowers.
