Fun and engaging Doom like shooter in Warhammer 40K universe. I like it a lot! Runs great, looks great, plays great!

Always clunky and janky but fun around the point of the 3rd mission on

Good idea, not so good execution! A DOOM like shooter, with parkour elements, guns out the wazoo, all set in Necromunda! Sounds great, on paper. The reality of the situation is a bit sadder. It's a clunky, unpolished and quite unoptimised mishmash of ideas, with a very shallow implementation, just deep enough that you could say it's there. Enemies and their hitboxes are inconsistent, animations often don't match what you're doing or are completely displaced from your character (half the time you visually strangle air while the enemy gets executed on their own). Most of the ranged enemies have a huge range and know where you are even before they see you. They can shoot through certain solid terrain or tiny holes, but you can't do the same back. It's fair to mention that they also like to spawn in groups of 4-6, really close to you, sometimes even right around the corner, and blast you to hell even before you have time to react. You are prompted and motivated to "explore" the area for hidden loot, but sometimes the enemies keep on coming, not sure if by design or not, so halfway through I gave up on searching for those cashes completely. The weapons you get are pretty cool loo…

Pretty rough around the edges. Technical wise the game looks kind of bad with uneven lighting and mediocre anti-aliasing. Something also feels off with mouse movement. Sometimes your weapon won't respond to mouse clicks and I couldn't find a solution online. Okay shooter though. There's emphasis on fast movement in combat combined with wallrunning etc but the arenas are not made for it at all. I played on the hardest difficulty which might have been a mistake. It's not that difficult (haven't died much), but may have lead to this game being less of the power trip it's supposed to be. There seems to be a variety of enemies but they appear semi-sporadically during missions and with how the lighting is in this game all enemies are highlighted by a bright outline which only appears sometimes. It dissappearing might be a bug. I don't really know what most of them actually look like aside from their weapons. There's a loot system with different tiers of weapon & equipment, but you can only get a cursory overview of your loadout and change pieces of it inbetween missions. There's an economy system where you earn money by doing missions but most items are very expensive and it seems g…

Game is fun, kill all in front of you and that's it. Warining: If you don't want to kill dogs don't play this as you have a dog companion but you will face other dogs too. If you like W40K, then I think you can see how gigantic a hive city can be and you are only is a very small part, that we very cool for me.
