Nevertales: Hearthbridge Cabinet Collector's Edition

I liked the story but I'm a little disappointed regarding the fact we're not following the same family and we don't see old characters appearing anymore. The HOG scenes and puzzles are high quality as usual, one puzzle has been clearly influenced by the "Glass Masquerade" series. All in all, you're enjoy it. Big Fish games are higher quality and more interesting than Artifex Mundi in general, I encourage you to wait for the sales and buy a bundle with all the games of the same series at once to get them at a more affordable price.

This game is a bit better than the past few in the series. One thing that bothers me about this game is the effeminate main character. His voice reminds me of the main character from most of the Living Legends and Whispered Secrets games. Definitely a bit delicate, ahem. We finally get to play as a male character and he's only about 1/3 of a man. When the villain reveals that he put our guy's grandma in a coma, he doesn't react at all. I understand his concern with saving Taleworld, but this was a big reveal and the guy didn't even raise his voice at the guy. The motivation for why the villain was doing what he was doing was beyond weak. "He grew up poor and his parents weren't around much...." Yep, that's it. No abuse or molestation. Just poor. The character wasn't developed and his motivation just wasn't enough for the amount of effort he had put into this. We also don't know how he became this awesome magician with the power to almost bring down an entire world. In the bonus chapter, he is chosen by TaleWorld to help them because "he's from the real world." So is the Guardian and her grandson and they are far more trustworthy! Top-tier HOG game, it's a shame rating was lowered because of bugs.

All these games in the story look nice, but the quality is different every time. This game looks and feels like a children's game, with mini-games that are not really games... shame.

I 'm not in the habit of giving bad reviews or even commenting on games that I have played. However, I would not recommend this game until it gets fixed. In the bonus game, in the wizard's tower, it is impossible to label the bottles and go forward. The bug simply will not let you. I am not the only one who has this problem. Two others have also tried. I would like to know how others got around the bug and played it through to the end. Thanks for any updates.
