This feels like one of those games that had a decent idea, showed a bit of promise and then just got left out in the cold halfway through development. There are glimpses of something interesting in the survival setup but they are buried under bugs, unfinished systems and just plain abandonment.2 found this helpful

!!!!!!THIS GAME HAS BEEN ABANDONED COMPLETELY, DONT BUY!!!!!! Sadly this game had so much potential, but has been abandoned from 2020, theres no servers anymore, and you cant play online. I played in singleplayer for 3hours to catch up, and it was pretty good, but yeah, theres no too much to do, you have seen everything in 1hour, Just buy Dayz, or Scum instead, they have community servers, and the best of all dedicated server support.2 found this helpful
I realize it is not much of a surprise that a low-budget S.T.A.L.K.E.R.esque game is bad, but let me start this negative review by pointing out the actual cool things going on here. It is probably the third or fourth most overall competent, jank notwithstanding, post-apocalypticy swampy Eastern Europeaniano game of its type that I have played out of a dozen or more. It has shockingly bordering on worryingly great animations for a few things, is at least a little fun to try to get into, and apparently was updated at some point to add an offline mode as it was once an online server-based game (I do not remember that at all, if I ever played in that era, but yes every developer deserves credit for making their game available beyond its original economic viability) But then, like, if you die, you should probably just give up and stop playing, because whatever killed you will still be there when you go back to try to get your things, and if you did not stand much of a chance against, say, a "Bear Maneater" or a pack of military thugs when fully equipped, do you think you are going to fare much better when wearing a t-shirt and carrying nothing but a map? The cycle at that point beco…1 found this helpful
More like Next Game: Survival
Next Day: Survival presents an unforgiving vision of a world devastated by disaster, combining open-world survival with role-playing mechanics in an experience that emphasizes exploration, persistence, and player choice. Set within a quarantined region consumed by a mysterious toxic contamination, the game places players in a hostile environment where every excursion beyond the safety of settlements can lead to valuable discoveries or sudden death. Instead of simply gathering resources to stay alive, the game builds its identity around long-term progression, encouraging players to develop their character, establish relationships with various factions, and gradually uncover more of the dangerous world. Its premise successfully creates the feeling of surviving in a lawless wasteland where caution is just as important as combat. The game's world is one of its most compelling features. Large maps filled with abandoned villages, forests, industrial facilities, and contaminated zones constantly invite exploration, while dynamic threats ensure that no trip feels completely safe. Players can participate in single-player adventures, cooperative PvE sessions, or competitive Last Survivor mo…
