No Path Forward

Not exactly what I expected, I would advise not reading the store description, the reviews, or the dev's note in the menu until you finish the game, I feel like they spoil the ending and the overall premise of the narrative, which frankly is the most interesting part of the game, not knowing exactly where it's going. It certainly feels like a horror game, but contextually the game has another direction, so I will leave it at that. It's about 60 minutes, mostly a walking-sim experience that focuses on the atmosphere and a sense of dread. There is a time management mechanic which you can interact with by consuming certain items, giving you more time to play the game, or reduce anxiety which can kill you if it gets to a certain point. I would not worry too much about the whole resource thing, the game is relatively small with a few fetch-quest puzzles, you can easily finish it in a few attempts, and you can save at certain points as well. Some events/choices can increase your anxiety, but I never really felt like it was difficult to manage and it's unlikely to die intentionally, just don't drink the beer over and over and you should be fine. Not too bad of a game definitely challenging though as it took me bit to understand the mechanics of the game and the story is interesting. The mechanics of the game are unique though by eating granola to lower your anxiety but don't drink beer since it will make it go down faster I would only use it in a pinch. The game is nicely designed too and I don't really have any complaints. The whole game revolves around anxiety and finding faith all while being a challenging walking sim. The game is pretty welcoming and heavily atmospheric with rainy woods and smooth low poly graphics (+1), the story itself is about [spoiler]God/faith[/spoiler] which I can respect even tho its really not my cup of tea, BUT it is well done and at the end explained by the developer himself. short and sweet though i wish there were multiple endings depicting how you could possibly stray away from god or potentially how no matter how much bad you have done that jesus will always love you. and maybe some more character dialogue.

This was a great game with great atmosphere! Fun fact, I found this when the creator left a comment on a video about sharing the gospel in Japan through games :) I will say, use the trailers for navigation in the park (esp. the green one with a yard), and stay away from the bear . . . that definitely makes things a lot easier!

this game was solid. i've never been a religious guy but this game had a good story and i enjoyed it. can't wait to see what's next! ˙𐃷˙
