About Nuclear Mages

Developers quote: " Diablo 2 meets Skyrim in a epic tale with its own lore ! "

Harnessing the power of elemental magic, you select your affinity
among the primordial forces: fire, water, earth, wind—

In the realm of Everdawn, the ancient threat known as the Void looms ominously,
seeking to engulf the world in eternal chaos.

As a chosen wielder of light and arcane energies, you embark on a perilous quest to thwart this malevolent force.
Roaming through diverse landscapes, your presence stirs the dormant darkness, forcing its sinister denizens to materialize.

In battle, each vanquished foe releases shimmering Void orbs, relics brimming with corrupted energy.
By aiding the enigmatic seer Zara, a guardian of ancient wisdom, you unlock the secrets of these orbs.

Zara's guidance empowers you with passive skills and insights, purchased through the harmonious synthesis of light and Void.

Embark on an expedition through the vast expanse of the Town map, a sprawling zone
teeming with otherworldly wonders.
Each corner of this mysterious realm unveils unique worlds adorned with fantastical flora
and eccentric fungi, a testament to the realm's enigmatic history.

Amidst your exploration, encounter five peculiar shops offering exotic wares and arcane
artifacts essential for your quest.
Safeguard your discoveries within the confines of your home chest, the sole sanctuary in
this unpredictable landscape where treasures remain secure against the encroaching chaos.

To expand your storage capacity, seek out ancient runes scattered across the land.
These mystical items serve as enchanted pouches, enhancing your ability to safeguard
and organize your burgeoning collection of relics and curiosities.

Venture deeper into the world, find ancient ruins, long forgotten by time.
Loot these venerable sites to uncover relics of immense power and untold secrets,
piecing together the cryptic tapestry of Everdawn's past while fortifying your resolve against
the encroaching Void.

Thus, armed with elemental prowess and guided by ancient wisdom, you venture forth
into the heart of Everdawn to cleanse the land of the encroaching shadows and restore
balance to a world on the brink of oblivion.

Descend into treacherous dungeons, where each step brings peril and potential.
In these shadowed depths, every defeat exacts a heavy toll:
loss of precious loot and hard-earned passive skills.

Yet, amid the danger lies unparalleled opportunity for gear progression, with each delve yielding
rare materials vital for enhancing your power.

A special merchant is hidden in the caverns on the HARD and INSANE dungeons.
The hidden merchants offer's items crucial to gear progression.

Harness the ancient arts of crafting and alchemy at specialized stations strewn across the realm.
Master the art of potion brewing, where the initial refining process yields a bountiful harvest, providing
an invaluable advantage in your quest against the encroaching Void.

and resilience. Merge the essence of your discoveries into formidable equipment, forging a legacy destined to defy chaos.

Potion of uncertain demise of power: Drink this and get 7x damage multiplier for 2 minutes.
50% chance to die upon drinking.

Stand firm against the onslaught, for the fate of Everdawn hangs in the balance.
Only through cunning strategy and unwavering determination can you safeguard the sanctity of your crystal and
push back the relentless waves of the Void.

As the enemy masses converge upon your sanctuary, fortify its defences with a strategic array of towers,
each a testament to your mastery of arcane engineering.

✦ AI summary

Nuclear Mages has an interesting concept and beautiful environments that players appreciate, but it suffers from significant technical and design issues that severely hamper enjoyment. The main complaints center on broken UI elements, poor mana management in combat that creates tedious pacing, and general lack of polish, with players suggesting the game needs substantial development before it becomes playable. Most reviewers see potential in the game's direction and appreciate the developer's openness to feedback, but current state makes it difficult to recommend.

i tried to play this game because of the cool concept but honestly its way too under developed to even enjoy, the menus and ui dont even work properly, i tried to pick my starting class but the buttons dont even do anything and theres no indicator of them being locked or anything, the settings menu stays open even after you close it, and the combat is horribly designed, its like playing mage on skyrim at low-mid levels, you either just run around and steal all the loot or spend 30 minutes a room waiting for your mana to regen so you can kill the enemies. maybe after 5 years the game will be playable

Before you read my review, just a heads-up: I’m an indie gamer. If you’re expecting a AAA title with the same old, boring mechanics, you’re in the wrong place. What you can expect here are fresh ideas, humor, and a whole lot of heart! Since there’s a big update coming soon, and I had a nice chat with the dev (yes, he’s still alive, unlike the skeletons in the dungeons), I feel it’s my responsibility to write this review – well, with a little help from ChatGPT, because honestly, I’m too lazy to do it myself. But this game deserves a bit of a push! So, when is this game for you? Well, if you like action RPGs and you don’t suffer from magiphobia, you’re off to a good start. If you’re one of those 90s kids who always wondered what would happen if zombies broke into your house while your parents weren’t home – and you were allowed to play with fire all you wanted because your parents were rich – then this game is for you! Here, you can let your imagination run wild and watch those old bones fly, collateral damage included (villagers may or may not be involved, but thankfully the NPC Union hasn’t gotten involved yet). Turns out not spending on marketing was the best decision! For all y…

This game has potential to become something very big if it's taken in the right direction! Pros Of The Game -------------------- - Beautiful map and environment - Has dungeons and a big map to explore - In game shops to buy items - Has quests - Developer doesn't criticize feedback Cons Of The Game --------------------- - Definitely needs UI improvements being the biggest problem! - The game can be a bit confusing, but this is fixable Ideas for the game -------------------- - Have a arrow that navigates you to certain quests on the top of the player hud - Have most of the UI accessible in one place such as a toggle book that way it's much more organized and player friendly - Homes that a player can buy and decorate - PVP arena when multiplayer releases - Add a minimap to the game
