Immerse yourself in this visual novel meets brawler as you join Ryu, an ex-nyaakuza cat on his quest to rescue his wife, Hime, and bring peace to the city. Fight off goons wreaking havoc around town using different types of weapons and navigate the story where choices affect combat difficulty.
On the night of his anniversary, Ryu finds his wife, Hime, unexpectedly catnapped and it's up to him to get her back! Together with his sister, Momo, he sets out through the night to find his partner but discovers that there's been more going on behind the scenes. Who's the bad kitty behind this all?

Searching for the term "platformer" on Steam gives you over 17,000 results... there's thousands and thousands of garbage tier platformers infesting Steam. "Nyaa-kuza!!" fits right into that category of retro 2D shovelware glutting the Steam store. Only a tiny number of those are any good, and this isn't one of them. In fact, this platformer is so badly made it's almost comical, with janky, almost unanimated cat sprites, badly designed platformer levels... this feels like the developer just wanted to write a furry fan-fiction but decided they should put it on some kind of game so it's not just an e-book. The idea is that you're a furry and your furry imaginary girlfriend/waifu is kidnapped so you have to pretend to be a furry and a samurai at the same time and fight other furries. All of this is extremely badly implemented, and of course the furry fan-fiction is weaponized cringe. The platforming genre is pretty much obsolete... just a tiny number of professionally developed platformers exist on PC and offer any real value or interest to gamers (Silksong, etc). Horrible. Could not get past the first boss no matter what, the very first wave of enemies was extremely hard, and i can't make sense of the story.
