About 93, Kuindzhi

Kuindzhi, 93 is an atmospheric first-person narrative vignette about an 18-year-old boy from Donbas. The story takes us to March 2022, when the world changed forever — into a space where the past, fears, and doubts find their voice. After his father is drafted and sent to the front, the protagonist volunteers in Mariupol, leaving his studies behind and ignoring his mother’s fears.Artyom never takes up a weapon. This is a story about a traumatizing environment, inner conflicts, and the search for one’s place.Past and present intertwine, turning into an internal dialogue in which Artyom must answer not to the world, but to himself—for fear, for guilt, for the choice he made, and for the choice he did not.The plot and setting are based on real events, but their details are intentionally composite. We consciously avoid interpreting or appropriating other people’s specific, personal stories. In terms of genre, the game is inspired by narrative masterpieces such as What Remains of Edith Finch and Firewatch.— Special attention is paid to sound design: radio conversations, distant explosions, footsteps, rustling, creaks, and that overwhelming silence. All of this brings the scene together into a single, living space.— A realistic visual presentation helps convey the weight of the environment and prevents emotional detachment from what is happening.— Artyom is voiced by rapper Husky, while the fighter with the callsign “Bear” is voiced by Dima OM., a familiar voice from Donbas.

It's not the kind of game you rate by usual standards. No talk of graphics or mechanics feels right here. It's about a state that slowly creeps in and then just sits inside you for a long time. At first it's uncomfortable and quietly sad. Not because the game pushes drama on you, but because everything around is gray, heavy, and painfully human. You walk, you listen, you look at the surroundings, and it gradually becomes unbearable. Not scary in the usual game sense — just heavy. And then something clicks. Not a thought, not a moral, just a feeling. After that, emotions seem to disappear. What's left is a strange calm, but not the restful kind. More like being alone with yourself in total silence, and it doesn't get easier. The strongest part is the atmosphere. The game doesn't scream slogans or push an agenda. It shows the crushing reality, the people trapped inside it, and how all of it presses down on an ordinary person. No unnecessary pathos, but it grips you tight. It's a short, powerful, and deeply necessary story. Calling it a game feels almost wrong — you don't walk away entertained. You walk away like you've just lived through a small piece of someone else's soul. High…

Атмосфера игры отлично передает происходящее, музыка выполнена на высоком уровне и на мой взгляд это очень глубокая игра, в которую действительно нужно вникнуть.

I understand there's a message they want to deliver by playing the game to tell you. We're all humans and we have to choose what's right and so on...... But in a 10 minute gameplay?? Useless game and no characters! I didn't get the meaning of where I was driving to whom I am talking. If this game had better cienamatic scines would be great. Unfortuntley it's 2/10 I only loved the enviroment and the atmosphere. I hope you could bring us a better game in the future <3

There isn't a film in the entire world with an abillity like this game to make me emotional. I sincerely recommend it to everyone because it take only 1.5 hours to finish it. The quality is very good I didn't have any bugs or glitches.
