Office lovers is an otome visual novel that sets out to deliver the fantasy of a steamy, forbidden workplace romance, and it does so with the unmistakable tone of Dogenzaka Lab’s catalogue—straightforward, adult-leaning, and unabashedly trope-driven. Set within a bustling cosmetics company preparing for a major holiday product launch, the game places you in the role of a young office worker navigating the pressures of corporate deadlines while being drawn into clandestine entanglements with several handsome coworkers. The premise is intentionally dramatic: between the long nights of development, the tension of high-stakes meetings, and the thrill of secretive affection behind closed doors, the game positions itself as an escape into heightened office romance. It is a fantasy where gossip lingers in the hallways, power dynamics shape every flirtatious exchange, and every route promises a mix of passion, intrigue, and indulgence. The core structure of the visual novel centers around five romantic routes, each focused on a different male character with unique roles and personalities. Whether you pursue the young, charismatic CEO, the stoic designer, the polished PR expert, the reliab…

This is my 4th review of another Dogenzaka game. I've played Destiny Princess, My Butler, Pub Encounter and now Office Lover. (I might be a little obsessed with otomes right now but that is besides the point) I gave thumbs up for those games because I really enjoyed my experience and I feel the same way with this game too. In my opinion I think Dogenzaka games might have not reach the right crowd.... I think these otomes may have been meant for us mentally deranged individuals and as a mentally deranged individual I am very happy going down this otome games rabbit hole (: The good: 1. I played through all the routes except one, the routes follow a similar premise but still enough variation between them to be interesting. 2. The spice was good, there were aww, ahh, and *gasp* moments that make this otome feel more like an adult romance BUT still with out the smut 3. The romance music is funny, I don't know why I just find the romance music comical. 4. The Character designs are well done and the CGs are well done as well. 5. I found the Characters to be humorous and charming, Kaido is a little mean but he's a great route for anyone who has a degrading kink + Possessive kink <3 6. …

༶•┈┈୨♡୧┈┈•༶ I HATED every second of this game. There is no love in this game, only lust, and it's just because the female lead is the only female on their team. The only man who seems to genuinely love and care for the female lead doesn't even have his own route and is a measly side character. I've seen a lot of reviews from other women complaining about the sexual harassment in this game, and they're right to do so. I wish I had seen their reviews before I spent any money buying this awful game. If you're wondering what it may contain, miscommunication trope is a common theme in this game. The female lead doesn't actually fight back, she just weakly says "no" and the men do not respect her enough to stop hurting her. The female lead is CONSTANTLY insulted about her looks, how she dresses, and seen as incompetent compared to her male coworkers. One man in particular left me feeling particularly annoyed, and he was Ryo Kaido. He had a few nasty quotes, including "You were such an amateur. And I got to mold you and change you... And you changed beyond anything I could have hoped for." Where is this romance in this stuff? There's no love in this, he just bullied her into being su…

From the reviews I read, I really expected something along the lines of Diabolic Lovers and spoiler alert : it is not Diabolik Lovers. Yes, the sexual harrassment is unnerving but I really expected much worse given the Steam reviews. Plus, keep in mind that it's a game, it's an otome game, it has nothing to do with real life, it's 200% trying to sell you a romantic FANTASY. Something else that you'd better keep in mind : it's japanese society. What would be considered sexism, harrassment or straight offense in western countries is seen as acceptable there. Expectations are different and so, the fuss around make-up is, in my opinion, irrelevant. Knowing that women can formally apologize to their own relatives for showing them a no-make-up face, I'm not really shocked at the NPC's reactions. Especially since it's a make-up company and the MC becomes a public face of it in some routes. Also, know that, depending on the route you picked, the rudeness seen in the prologue can fade into nothingness. Dogenzaka's games are overall uninteresting and this one is no exception. Why the upvote then ? Because Steam doesn't allow any middleground and I do think that Office lovers is actually be…
