a mixed boomer shooter clone between iconic classics like DOOM due to its entire graphic style and BLOOD/Duke Nukem due to just the jumps you can perform. if you are looking to play a new game looks to old school fps style, you are welcome. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3686838364 https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3686826501 https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=369274589212 found this helpful
Oil ? What Oil ? Story: You play as a super soldier, who is given a bunch of weapons and a simple task, take back stolen oil which was taken by an evil army of demons. In reality there's no story whatsoever, it's just a bunch of different levels that don't have any connection and the story description comes from the store page as there's nothing in the actual game. Graphics: Visually Oil Invasion is a mixture of two styles that don't really mesh together. The enemy designs are cool, but they look like sprites taken out of a DOOM wad and the environments look like they're 3D stock environments, like a very basic farmhouse, a fairy fantasy dungeon and a medieval fortress. It really feels like a bunch of stock maps stitched together and while I liked the enemy designs I can't say for the environments. They're very generic and just not fun to explore, especially the last mission which is a giant farm where it's borderline impossible to find the key to advance. Audio: The audio design is pretty bad across the soundtrack and the sound effects. There's only one track playing throughout the entire game and sometimes it just won't play at all. The song itself is very much just a st…4 found this helpful
Medicore at best. -just a handful of levels, some of them are ok, others are trash -no saving at all, if you die, you have to replay the whole level again -some levels contain some platforming which really sucks, because usually if you fail, you fall into lava and die -if enemies are on a higher or lower ledge than you, you can't hit them -only 5 weapons + melee weapons which you always start with all of them -you can only switch your weapons with the mouse wheel and only in one direction WTF -short game overall -sure it's super cheap, but probably still not worth it3 found this helpful
Oil Invasion, developed by Ruskija Game Experience and Valkeala Software, is a straightforward first-person shooter that builds itself around a simple premise and an even simpler execution. Set in a scenario where hostile forces have taken control of global oil supplies, the player is tasked with recovering these resources across a series of compact levels. It presents itself as an action-focused experience with light objective-based progression, but beneath that surface lies a very minimal design that rarely expands beyond its most basic ideas. The structure of the game is built around a sequence of short, contained stages where the primary goal is to locate oil barrels while eliminating enemies and unlocking access to new areas. Each level follows a similar pattern: navigate through a confined map, collect items such as keys or symbols to open doors, and clear out enemy presence along the way. This formula is easy to understand and requires little time to grasp, making the game accessible from the outset. However, this simplicity quickly becomes a limitation, as the lack of variation in objectives means that each stage feels almost identical to the last. Combat is centered on a…
So instead of making a level pack in GZDoom the developer decided to make a soulless Unreal Engine slop with awful level design and gameplay that is just awful. Expect the two or three levels all of them can be skipped. Movement is awful and does not feel good at all for doing parkour and there is pretty much nothing here of value. Don't recommend it.
This game attempts to channel the spirit of Doom, Rise of the Triad, and Duke Nukem 3D, and at first glance, it seems to succeed with its retro-inspired art style and enemy designs. However, closer inspection reveals inconsistencies—some enemies look like they came from completely different games, as if pulled from various asset packs. The level design is just as problematic. It’s way too easy to fall through the map, get stuck in terrain, or be trapped between objects due to poorly implemented hitboxes. The controls feel like Catacomb Abyss if your keyboard had been dunked in Mountain Dew, and the motion blur doesn’t help. There’s very little in the way of visual or audio customization, making the experience even more frustrating. The soundtrack? Imagine My First Dark Synth—repetitive and uninspired. If a five-year-old composed it, I’d be impressed. If anyone older did, I’d suggest leaving music composition to those with actual talent. With only a handful of maps (about 6-8), you pick one, clear waves, and earn achievements. That’s it. It feels like an asset flip, though I can’t verify it. If it isn’t, that doesn’t really change the outcome. Either way, this one isn’t wor…
