About Ominous
You and your team are tasked with closing a dangerous interdimensional portal before it unleashes a powerful and destructive force. With no weapons to defend yourself, you must rely on exploration, puzzle-solving, and stealth to navigate through the hotel and alternate dimensions while avoiding a deadly creature that stalks your every move.

Unique Multiplayer Experience:

Unique Multiplayer Experience:- Compared to other co-op horror games, Ominous offers a unique multiplayer experience. While you and your teammates share the same map, you exist in separate dimensions, unaware of each other's locations, even if you're standing side by side. The challenge lies in finding a way to bring everyone into your dimension.

Creature:- The Creature is completely aware of your presence and will actively try to stop you from closing the interdimensional portal. The main difference is that, while you and your teammates cannot see each other in different dimensions, the Creature can see all of you.

Rifts:- There are dimensional rifts scattered throughout the map, a result of the damage caused by the creature's portal. When you enter these rifts, you may find yourself in entirely different environments. To escape these environments, you have two options: solve the puzzle inside or die. These rifts can even transport you to a poker table. Winning a game at the table will grant you a prize upon your return, but losing might lead to less desirable outcomes.

Replayability:- When you start each game, the map is procedurally generated so that you never get the feeling that you are playing on the same map. The end time of the game will be different for each game. The only way to find out when the Creature's portal will explode is when the portal makes a sound that can be heard all over the map 5 minutes before it explodes. However, this sound can appear as early as 15 minutes or as late as 30 minutes into the game, so you should always act quickly.

So I rarely review and when I do I rarely "Not Recommend" but I have to. This is a fun game and the devs were onto something with starting in different areas and having to meet up with your buddies. Actually does feel ominous lol when you start off alone. The problem is there has been no update since September. That is about 7 months at the time of this review. I check my games a few times a month for updates so I can revisit them and I am curious how the developers and games are doing. But even in the early access description as of right now "we plan to release the full version of ominous in 6 months." I understand it can be hard being an indie dev but I feel developers need to set more real expectations for themselves or be more open about whats going on with the game.
Had a lot of fun with this game! Certainly a little rough around the edges and new content will come eventually. The concept of the game is awesome and I think the dev can really expand on it!
This game is Very Interesting, I was given several keys so that i may make content on it but i promise you, this is an honest review. This game has such a Fascinating concept! I am going to do my best to not spoil anything so that you may get in and see it for yourself. There are times where you might just be confused or lost but that is honestly really fun to figure out in a puzzle game kinda like this one, If you do not enjoy being kinda lost then this might not be the game for you yet.My group and i only played for about an hour and had SO much fun. There are still some bugs in the game and some of them are really annoying but honestly the rest of the game is so fun it just added some humor to it while learning. If you have a group of friends who are goofy, this can be a really good horror game for you or even a group of friends who want to take every game seriously. If you are on the edge of getting it, get it, try it for an hour n a half and then refund it if you don't like it. If you stream on Twitch the game has integrated twitch connections, it isn't working at the moment but they are working on it. It is suppose to let your twitch chat vote on certain outcomes or somet…
I really think the dev is onto something with this game!!! Ran into a couple of glitches [sat down at the bar and proceeded to float into space and then sat in one of the computer chairs only to freeze the game]. Had a great time with my friends and I can't wait to see more in the future!! IN GAME SPOILER:
Finding the TARDIS was the COOLEST little surprise!! To that I say, Allonsy!
This game is actually a really cool concept and I LOVE that it has Twitch integration! I am definitely hoping for more commands for Twitch. But so far I had a really fun time with it, even tho I played solo. If you like games like Lethal Company, this is definitely right up your alley!.
