About Orbtangle

Orbtangle is a simplistic puzzle game which requires you to swap the positions of orbs in order to untangle the lines with which they are connected. Only once none of the lines are crossing each other the level is completed.
The game provides an endless mode in three difficulties and three additional campaigns with over 100 additional levels to unlock. The colors of the game elements are fully customizable and can be set to your liking!

✦ AI summary

Players appreciate this as a relaxing puzzle game with good pacing and plenty of content through both campaign levels and random generation, though some find the difficulty scaling inconsistent and the puzzle design lacking strategic depth. The main complaints center on artificial difficulty created by cramped node layouts that encourage trial-and-error rather than thoughtful solving, while others praise it as a satisfying brain-teaser with engaging variety. The UI could be more informative, but the game's affordable price and chill vibe make it worthwhile for puzzle fans seeking a low-stress

It's like untangling your headphone cords, but as a chill puzzle game. Lots of levels, and pretty well paced so far, with easier levels after the more challenging ones. The menus aren't the greatest, and it would be nice to be able to see the number of sets within the level and not just on the level select screen, but those are pretty minor downsides, especially for the price. Overall I'd recommend it if you like puzzle games Edit: Thanks to the developer for their response, I'd totally missed that setting. Tried it out and all the info I was missing is there now. Even more reason to recommend it :)

Good for relaxing, not so much as a brain teaser. There is little effort put into puzzle design. No increase in challenge in the so-called campaigns, for example, since there is no real challenge anyway. Only an array of more or less randomly generated and sequenced layouts, selected on their looks. The only difficulty is artificial, and in my opinion out of place, created by superposing lines upon lines with no way to separate them other than systematical trial-and-error. Not only can you have 20 nodes perfectly aligned, they are often compacted with no gaps in-between. Alignment and compaction should have been avoided; even in the purely randomised layouts, programmatically. Or better yet (because individual puzzle-design is highly time-consuming,) the interface could have solved the issue by highlighting end nodes when selecting a starting node. That would have allowed the player to think and strategise before moving nodes. The way it goes, you simply move a node randomly, one after another, until it's the one you actually wanted to move. The interface is otherwise pretty good, visually. The latest line you moved stays highlighted for a short time, so it's always clear what yo…

Chill indie puzzle game with potentially endless content due to the randomly generated levels which come in three difficulties (each difficulty increases the amount of minimum and maximum nodes and sets per level, as far as i can tell). The campaigns also provide a large variety of levels, ranging from pretty straightforward to completely bewildering (which makes it that much more satisfying once you figure out what's going on).
