Panic Room 2: Hide and Seek is a mobile app that's been dumped on Steam as a cheap nasty cash grab by greedy mobile devs. Superficially this is just a really badly made hidden object puzzle game, but it's much more sinister. Before we get into the bad stuff, it's worth noting the game is already immediately disqualified as having any value for PC gamers, with locked resolution, mediocre 2D art, stale, uninspired HOG gameplay that makes Artifex Mundi cash grabs look like masterpieces. There is a full screen mode, but it doesn't scale the imagery, so the game displays as a little postage stamp in the middle of your screen! What a screwup. Now onto the really nasty parts. The developer has riddled this game with cancerous mobile app microtransactions. You have to pay the developers substantial amounts of money to get "coins" which you can spend on hints and so on... but it gets to a point that you cannot progress the game without spending money. Cancer. The game forces you to agree to a "privacy" agreement... although "privacy invasion" agreement is more appropriate. Panic Room 2: Hide and Seek is a hidden-object mystery adventure developed and published by GameXP.com.
