Story Details
Past Cure is a dark psychological thriller that blurs the lines between dreams and reality. An intense, cinematic, story-driven experience that challenges the player to use mind-bending mental abilities to survive. After years of torture, former elite soldier Ian lives in a safe house with his brother, struggling with memory loss and the effects of the experiments he was forced to endure. In an attempt to tap into the hidden power of the mind, his captors left him scarred with unrelenting nightmares, visions and unstable powers such as time manipulation and telekinesis. Driven by his desperate need for the truth and a thirst for revenge; Ian, aided by his brother, sets out on a thrilling hunt for the masterminds of this conspiracy, hoping to uncover exactly what was done to him and why? As Ian plunges into a criminal underworld in pursuit of his only lead, he is forced to use his powers more and more to survive. But with each use, his mind becomes ever more detached from reality, revealing the presence of an even darker force at play.

Gameplay Features
- A story driven supernatural thriller
Past Cure is a cinematic, story driven experience where the player follows the struggle of a broken man searching for the missing pieces of his mind. With intense cutscenes and intriguing story items throughout the levels, the player can unravel a story that will keep them guessing til the end.

Action vs. Stealth
Be bold and engage your enemies with time bending gun battles and brutal jaw crunching combos. Or pick the stealthy approach where evasion tactics and slick stealth takedowns allow you to outsmart your enemies in silence. Choose the right approach to each situation as there are pros and cons to each playing style.

Mind bending abilities
Unleash the unlocked power of Ian’s mind against those who unlocked it. To truly master the Past Cure experience, players must utilise time manipulation and astral projection to gain an edge on opponents and overcome obstacles.

Dreams vs reality
Ians mind is torn between the gritty real world and the nightmarish horror of his dreams. Past Cure contrasts between the cold, brutal combat orientated levels of the real world, to the more puzzle solving and survival gameplay in the abstract dreamworlds.
No cure for what ails this game...
Here's how much this dev believed in their game: Just 4 months after releasing the game, they stopped development/updating on this game. Instead of trying to fix what's wrong with their game, they stopped working on it just 4months after releasing it, and haven't released an update in over 3 years! That should tell you all you need to know. This game is so trash, not even the devs want to touch it. There are games that are openly bad, i.e. you can see the quality right away. But games like Past Cure are the worst in that they look interesting at the first glance, but turn out to be bad. "Bad" is not even beginning to describe it. It is abysmal, horrendous. This game is a crime against gaming itself. And I'm not even joking. I had to restart several chapters just to get past random game breaking bugs. Suffered through 99% of the game just to find out the last stage is unbeatable due to another game breaking bug, and restarting didn't help it this case. List of some of the bugs I encountered: - Enemies stuck in the wall - Items necessary to progress doesn't appear where they should appear, forcing you to restart the chapter - Scripts necessary to progress the game not triggered when they should. At least one of such scripts made the game completely unbeatable for me. If I were a monster, I would recommend you to buy it just so you could suffer the same torture as me, so I won't feel like such a loser for giving the developers a benefit of the doubt and completely wasting my time with this trash.

It is so sad. I would have given this game thumbs up, but just before the final boss there is a game breaking glitch which I could not fix and therefore I could not beat the game. It's funny, that I got almost all of the content except the ending. But I watched it on YouTube and the final boss looks hard and the ending is crap, so not much lost. Still, I simply can't forgive that developers did not bother to fix their game and simply left it in the current state which makes it impossible to finish. Other than that, it is a rough gem. Tons of glitches all around, tons of questionable decisions. For positive, I really liked the story (except how it ends), I was fond of puzzles and atmosphere was sometimes impressive. Stealth is mixed but enjoyable. Combat is also mixed, I like the gunplay, but due to controls it is very clunky, for some reason the laser pistol aim moves very slowly which makes it almost unusable. Anyway, if I look at the first 6 levels, I enjoyed a lot more than not, but the last (7th) level is where the game clearly was rushed, the story pace completely changed and the game breaking glitch are enough proofs for me to speculate that something went wrong in the …

Game is a mess of glitches, bugs and strange design decision. It can bring some sort of fun, but bug with the boss near to the very end of game make it unfinishable.
