Игра «Penguins of The North» — уютная головоломка с милыми пингвинами, которые помогают спасти их родной ледяной мир. Простой, но увлекательный геймплей сочетается с яркой графикой и атмосферной музыкой. Каждый уровень предлагает уникальные задачи: строить ледяные конструкции, преодолевать препятствия и собирать предметы. Управление интуитивное, но требует внимательности. Минус — небольшое количество уровней и отсутствие продолжения. Подойдет для любителей спокойных, семейных игр.

Penguins of The North is one of literally thousands of retro 2D platformers infesting Steam and lowering the average quality of all video games everywhere... and I'm not kidding. Searching for "platformers" on the Steam store page yields over 17,000 results! Is this one of the best of those? Absolutely not. Ths is one of those puzzle platfoemers where you move more than one character at the same time. That's it, that's all there is to it. Platforming is an old, mostly dead genre, and this lacklustre experience, while it doesn't have an upfront cost, isn't saving the genre... it's no surprise this failed to capture any attention from gamers in the era of immersive 3D gaming. The game features really lacklustre 2D visuals (does the developer not know 3D graphics became mainstream in the mid-1990s?). Gamers don't spend thousands of dollars on gaming rigs and the latest 3D graphics cards to play 2D games. Even mobile phones and game consoles can do 3D graphics now. There's no excuse. It's free... now, but it wasn't before. The developer was charging $5 USD for this. Price barriers, especially on low quality products, can be a direct cause of failure. It's a nice gesture f…
