About Pirates! Showdown: Enhanced Edition
Pirates! Showdown is a fast-paced game combining real-time strategy(RTS) and defense tactics.
Face off against the fearsome Red Hand privateers in thrilling head-to-head pirate battles on the high sea! Launch ships from your baes on one side of the map, capture towns and other structures to strengthen your defense and increase your gold supply. Capture your enemy's base at the opposite end to win, but make sure you are also defending your own base! 75 campaign levels plus randomly generated maps in skirmish mode!
STREAMLINED RTS!
Fast paced gameplay with RTS and defense tactics without heavy resource management or the need to micro-manage units.
WEIGH ANCHOR!
Command your fleet of pirate ships as you send them to intercept the enemy pirates or lay siege to land targets. Send an armada of Brigantines or save your gold for a massive Ship of the Line!
CAPTURE!
Towns, guard towers, shipyards, lighthouses, mystical obelisks, and more can all be captured. Structures all have a unique purpose and will supply you with gold, attack your enemy, buff up you ships, allow you to launch more ships, etc.
UPGRADE!
Upgrade towns to increase gold production. Upgrade guard towers to increase their firepower and strengthen your defenses.
STRATEGY!
Will you aggressively capture towns to loot their gold or invest in the towns you have to increase their gold production? Wage a purely pirate ship battle or strengthen your defenses with upgraded guard towers? Find the right RTS strategy to beat each level.
75 UNIQUE LEVELS IN FOUR WORLDS!
Combat the enemy in the tropical Caribbean then follow them into Hades in the River Styx world. And the Open Sea and Chaos Ocean worlds have the largest levels of all
ADJUSTABLE AI DIFFICULTY!
Set the game to be as easy or as difficult as you want. Set the AI to adjust to your skill or set it to play a completely even/fair match every time. Pirates of all strategy skill levels should be satisfied
CONTROL TIME SPEED!
At any time you can speed up or slow down time to play at your own pace. Allow yourself more time to prepare your strategy or speed up your opponent's demise!
SKIRMISH MODES!
Two skirmish modes provide an infinite number of randomly generated maps
Early access notes: Campaign and skirmish modes are fully functioning. Graphics are being remastered for PC and may be inconsistent in some levels. A multiplayer mode and gamepad support will be added. Other gameplay tweaks and improvements are planned as well.

I have been a fan of Pirates! Showdown since I played it on my phone 8 years ago. It was one of the best RTS games on mobile, and I was so happy to see it get an enhanced edition for PC. The game is still as fun and addictive as ever, with fast-paced and strategic pirate battles on the high sea. The graphics have been improved a lot, and the developers are adding new features and modes to make the game even better. This game brings back good memories, and I highly recommend it to anyone who likes RTS games or pirates. It is well worth the price, and I can’t wait to see what the final version will look like. Simple and fun to play. Upgrade your villages, collect money, capture the resources and destroy your enemy. Perfect for short playing sessions.
First of all let me say i've been playing this game on my ipad for about 6 years and enjoy it but when I saw it was coming to my PC I was excited. I often play other games but when I get tired of them I come back to this one. The last patch fixed a bunch of irritating problems but please consider these also. A reset button so you don't have to delete and reinstall the game to play from the beginning. 2 player would be great also. With the random games... how about some from the River Styx and Open Sea also. The ability to save random games would be great since some of those levels are better then every level on the base game. That way you could play it again or let a friend play it. Oh and please add some new levels to the base games.... Or a whole new section or new style or something.... keep upgrading it to keep the game interesting. Right now the way I keep it interesting is by maxing out everything on the board before winning... so new levels or islands or whatever you call them would be great.
The game is so addicting!
