Basically if you combine My Time at Portia, Satisfactory, and Supermarket Together. Normally I would find such a gutsy crossover as "not really doing any of them particularly well", but in this case, it works. Automation games are my favorite, I'm always looking for something new to play in that genre. This one hit my radar because it looks Satisfactory-esque. I think if you come into it thinking that (as I initially did), you will be disappointed. It definitely has that flavor, but the game plays way more like something like My Time at Portia than it does Satisfactory. Maybe even a little bit of a Hydroneer feel to it. Don't get me wrong, it's a lot of fun. I appreciate that it's pretty chill. It lets you do a lot of things, but doesn't demand you do them all immediately like some games do. You can just kinda do your own thing and it works. There's definitely some jank factor here. I've played worse, but I've played better. I think it's still Early Access so that's to be expected. Overall it doesn't distract too much from the fun. If you're looking for the next Satisfactory, or Foundry, or Dyson Sphere Program, I don't think this is it. It is very satisfying to set up production circles and to rebuild/improve them again and again.
Lost a ton of progress because I made the mistake of thinking I could pause the game. I was afk for like 20 minutes and when I came back and unpaused, the game instantly froze and I had to go back to the last autosave, losing a bunch of changes I had made to the machines. Booo
This game goes up with my other favorites of the factory builder genre. The beginning works like a lot of other factory builders except for the shop adding a nice twist on the formula. When the cauldron is unlocked so many possibilities open up. The game is a must have for anyone who likes the genre.
it is a incredibly fun game that you can play as long as you want and there is always new ways to set up.
