You know when you read comments like, "This is for REAL fans of the genre"? ... Well, this is for hopeless devotees of the genre. There's some good stuff here, but it's not... an experience I'd actively recommend outside those fixed cam lunatics such as myself. Setting-wise, what we have here is a mash of Half Life 2 and Silent Hill 2. Imagine if Wallace Breen's administration had resulted in City 17 turning into Silent Hill. Our hero arrives in a city gripped in a plague that has transformed its populace into malevolent mannequins. Why? Oh god. There ARE answers but... it's just boring, self-important, waffle and pointless technobabble. It reads like poorly backfilled worldbuilding. What's worse, the tripe is heavily back-loaded, culminating in a pointless to-be-continued. Do not go into this game for the story. So... the environments, then? Do we go into this for the environments? Ehhhh... The first level or two is set in a metro station and it manages to be almost entirely without character. Saturated in the game's signature red, white and black, the grim mood quickly gets played out - this is a very one-note subway station, with none of the humanity or humour one migh…

Neat little game, latter half is a little rushed though.

Wonderful so far. Loving the bloody mood lighting in the first area. The camera angles are well considered and dynamic. The Doodoo Man approves :) Edit: The enemies in the second to last area are really annoying. In a game where you are forced to stand still when reloading, there should not be an enemy that can teleport right in front of you and start attacking. Especially when the only weapon you have at that point is a single shot. The only way I found to get through without taking random damage was by going into the menu and un-equipping my weapon and then re-equipping it again to skip the reload animation.

Can't re-bind controls. Auto refund. It's 2025 people, ffs.

this was so frustrating to play. every hallway is super long, they make you fight like 2 bosses in a row with not enough ammo, every 1st shot when aiming misses, wack ass puzzles, every character in the game runs like they gotta take a ♥♥♥♥, plot feels like some ai garbage
