There's clearly a lot of passion and interesting ideas here, but I cannot get past the fact that this is the worst controlling 3D platformer I have ever played. You are constantly fighting the camera and the player character always attacks the way the in game model is facing, not the way the camera is. Movement is awkward and finicky. Played on keyboard, unsure if playing on a controller resolves these issues. Will retry if there is some update addressing any of this.

I WISH the shooting was better, like its really hard to point and shoot in any direction, its like you have to look and move in the same direction as your trying to shoot all at the ma e time o t make it shoot where you want, I cant just shoot where I'm looking an walk a different direction. I kept telling myself i wont refund this but, I couldn't justify $20 for the controls to be the main problem, its a real shame too because this is exactly my kind of game, quirky, weird, super artistic, and supporting these types of games gets cooler games to be made because people can take a chance and share something that might resonate with many people and become a smash hit. unfortunately this ones just shy of keeping, I wish i knew what happens when you get 1000 souls. DEVELOPER, PLEASE MESSAGE ME IF YOU EVER FIX THE SHOOTING MECHANICS, ILL RE BUY.

Quick tip for y'all: maxing out Popomo for the High Glide ability is required to beat the final area. Save an hour of your lives that I couldn't.

I looked forward to this game for some time before getting to play it. When I did, the controls (character movement as well as camera movement) were horrible, and the camera effects nearly made me throw up. Refunded for these reasons.

I can't not recommend this game for the style alone. It uses simple shapes and tools in creative ways, and the designs and color palette are just awesome. I also think the level design is solid for what I saw. LOVE the mix of painterly portraits and simple levels/UI design. However, be aware that on a technical level, the movement is very floaty and seems like it needs a great amount of work. I also got teleported to a boss arena when I was in another part of the map, some of the feedback is unclear, Slopes are the absolute enemy, and it often doesn't detect correctly if you have already jumped (for the high jump or the air dash/glide). I do think the game has enough charm to be worth checking out besides that, though. Another solid wave of gameplay programming and QA and this is an absolute beautiful gem.

Delightfully surreal and imaginative with a strong vibe elevated by its music. Made me feel emotions similar to when I played Evergrace for the first time. The combat surprised me with how engaging and satisfying it can be, especially in the optional combat arena areas where the player fights dozens of enemies at a time. My only criticisms are that I couldn't understand what the spellbooks did and they could have been explained much better, that Cosmo still spawns in endless mode even when the player has maxed out their spells, and that I wish there was a way to get hints for what items the player hasn't found to help track them down in the endgame for 100% completion.
