Will Polaris be a live service title? No, Polaris will offer a complete experience at launch. That said, if big AAA studios don't get everything right day one, our little team certainly won't, so we'll no doubt be making bug fixes and balancing changes after release, and we'll take that responsibility seriously. If people dig what we've made and would like more, we'll definitely consider it, so long as we won't bankrupt ourselves in the process. But I don't want to sell people something which is incomplete, half-finished, or where we're pitching as-yet-unrealised potential. We just want to make a cool game, and we hope it looks cool to you, too! What operating systems will Polaris be compatible with?At launch we'll support Windows PC only, with the possibility of Steam Deck support at a later point. Will this be an Early Access title? No, Polaris will launch in full when released. What's the inspiration behind making Polaris? It's Jonathan the creative director writing this (hi there!). I can't speak for everyone on the team, so I'll answer just for me... I've kind of always wanted to work on a game like this. I grew up loving the games of Bullfrog and Psygnosis, in particular Syndicate, Wipeout, G-Police, and Colony Wars. So experiences involving "teams of high tech soldiers, using high tech vehicles, causing chaos in an original science fiction world" have always been embedded deep in my frontal lobe. Over the years I've fallen in love with games like Halo, Earth Defence Force, Red Faction, Just Cause, Crimson Skies, and Ace Combat. Polaris is a melting pot of all these inspirations (and more!) combined with the raw talent and creativity of the awesome team I get to work with everyday. Also they turned off the Warhawk servers so this is the only way I get to fulfil that particular gameplay fantasy. What's the best way to stay up-to-date on development?Via our newsletter. This might be the first negative review I've ever typed for anything in my entire life, but I don't think I've ever regretted opening a game on my PC more, this is just awful. It rearranged everything on my desktop across all 3 monitors, and now the even after closing the game, the bottom half of my display is unusable. Like I can't even drag icons to the bottom part of my screen anymore. On top of that, the game is also awful, unfun, and poorly optimized. I highly recommend you pass on this one.23 found this helpful
This is by no meens a bad game, it has solid bones... but it is defs half finished and was marketed as a full release. Like few mission types (only 2 so far) no ground enemies and lacking many quality of life features. Never pay full price, but if you have friends or are just an extraction conesseur then I guess pay 10 cad or less if you can. Game seems very grindy for such little content. 4.5/10 - soo far2 found this helpful

🚀🔥 “Strap in, squad up, and blast off—Polaris is pure co-op chaos in the best way possible. You’re flying through massive sci-fi battlefields, blowing apart fully destructible environments, and unloading advanced weapons like tomorrow doesn’t exist. Add in vehicles, abilities, and a hostile colonizing army to demolish, and you’ve got a non-stop adrenaline ride where the sky isn’t the limit—it’s the battlefield.” 💥🌌 ⭐ 5/5 — Highly recommend! If you love sci-fi shooters, co-op madness, and watching entire maps explode around you, this is a must-play. 😎 👉 Check it out here: https://youtu.be/wpHYCqTZ3l8
Seems pretty barebones yet it's a great concept. Gfx look sick too. Might be dead already though. All time peak was 28 players??? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vZQsdZwOC60 Steam Recommendations YouTube TikTok
This is fun...for a tech-demo. If you stretch it, it's maybe an hour of content. That's it. It's a cool idea, but ultra bare-bones in terms of content and performance is rather bad as well.
