It has the adrenaline rush and self esteem crushing dichotomy of a Souls game but it's the titular felines tail wags as they prepare to sail across an unforgiving gap and original soundtrack that ooze with the love and passion of indie game development and make Ethereal Design's take on the genre truly memorable. Each level is distinctly designed on an aesthetic perspective but each is also a great example of how to train the player through gameplay alone. There is no need for a tutorial other than what the controls are as the platforms and obstacles are so carefully placed to guide the player on finding the right amount of power to give each pounce and to brutally punish the careless. You won't conquer this mountain on your first go around but sure enough Pounce Cat will keep you coming back despite how punishing it can be.

A super challenging but fair rage platformer! The game is looks great, feels great, and has one of the best soundtracks I've heard for a small indie dev. Simple mechanics but learnable means that as you play you really do feel like you build skill, and right when you feel you got it a new jump, platform, or situation gets in the way to test your skill and patience. Lose your resolve or misjudge that jump and you will regret it. Great pacing, and variety of scenery! Must Buy!

Don't be fooled by the cute little wiggle of this cat's booty! This game will make you flip tables, yell at your sister for no reason, and break plates on your neighbor's sidewalk. Pounce Cat is an incredibly cute and Challenging game. The different levels will keep you guessing and wanting more. You will not want to stop until you reach the finish line, which may be hours, days, or weeks until you do. This is an amazing game for value, and you should gift it to your friends so they know how much you love them. Also, the music slaps. Happy Pouncing!!
