Slow start but great unique scares in thischin.

amazing game! i initially played this back in 2023 when i was first getting into horror games, but i had never finished it. i decided to come back to it now that i have a much better understanding of the genre, and the game still holds up in scares and atmosphere. looking forward to possible additional content in the future.

I hate to say it but the ending wasn't worth the time and effort to get there.

Psychosis is a really disturbing survival horror game, and I liked how it focuses on psychological unease rather than simply throwing monsters at me every few seconds. I step into a strange mystery involving a missing family, only to become trapped in an increasingly surreal world where I cannot fully trust what I am seeing. The whole experience has a nasty dreamlike quality that kept me uncomfortable in a good way. The gameplay mixes first person shooting, exploration, stealth and puzzle solving. I have weapons available when I need to defend myself, but combat is not the only way I can survive. I have to explore the environment, search for evidence and figure out how to move forward while dealing with threats that can appear in unexpected places. I enjoyed this mixture because it stops the game from turning into a straightforward shooter. The investigation side is especially interesting. I am collecting fragments of information about the missing family and gradually trying to understand what happened.
