About The Legend of Lumina

Explore an ancient forest, push blocks to solve puzzles, and search for a way to end the curse on your land.

The Legend of Lumina is a sokoban style puzzle game with non-linear progression. It's inspired by early Zelda games, with an emphasis on puzzle solving instead of combat.

There are ~50 areas to explore, with nearly all having puzzles, many of which can be solved in different ways.

If you like brainmelting sokoban puzzles, this is your game. Me? I need an aspirin now.

Downloaded this after playing Order of the Sinking Star demo (which I really liked). So now I'm hunting for decent Sokoban games! This one is good, perhaps a teeny bit grindy with the last two animals (certainly the last one), as there's no undo (well for whatever reason, the UNDO button disappeared on me). Still, a very pleasant game - especially if you're looking for Sokoban fix.

A fun block-pushing type of puzzle game, with a similar "unlock new abilities" mechanic to Isles of Sea and Sky. It's much smaller than that game, and very digestible--under 2 hours for me, and I got stuck a few times. ...But PLEASE, don't tag this as a "metroidvania". That is exclusively a subgenre of explorative side-scrolling action platformers.

Coming from a person who is a sucker for puzzle games, even though most of the times can't figure the hard or meta part out, this game is a great addition to your puzzle library, and I enjoyed most of the game. There are some hard truths need to be put to the light here though: 1. Hard backtracking — I personally had to do more backtracking than I thought I needed, mostly because I couldn't remember the layout of the map. And I want to argue that I got lucky and found the animals(?) in the mostly correct order, which meant I didn't have to do even more backtracking to another zone to find out the one I needed to continue progressing, which meant that for people who might have gotten unlucky, they had a harder time progressing. I want to mention that I'm basing this problem off of A Monster's Expedition, a game I haven't played but watched someone play it. 2. No keybinds / too few settings items — me, personally, every time I start playing a new game, I always head to the settings to see what the keybinds are, in turn "spoilering" myself to what controls could be. But when I started playing this game and went to the settings, it was pretty weird to see only 2 controls…

Such a cozy, relaxing game. The Legend of Lumina brings a really fresh perspective to idle games. The riddles are fun and interesting without being frustrating at all, making it the perfect thing to play in the background when you just want to unwind. Definitely recommend it. The artwork is amazing as well, minimal but at the same time artistic.
