For generations, the human civilization and the animal civilization have been separated by a single, impossible boundary:a huge, lazy, sleeping dog.Nothing has ever crossed from one world to the other.
- The Scrumption:
One day, a mysterious odour drifts from the direction of the sleeping dog.By the time it reaches the forest, nearly every animal has been transformed into a meerkat.The phenomenon comes to be known as the Scrumption.95% of the animals are transformed into meerkats.They remember everything.They can still speak.Only their appearance has changed.A small few, including Cubey, remain unaffected — possibly due to genetics. No one knows for sure.- Cubey’s Journey:
You play as Cubey, a fox determined to rid the forest of the Scrumption.Along the way, Cubey encounters Scaram, a human who somehow ended up in the animal world and desperately wants to return home. Scaram claims that the cure for Scrumption exists in the human civilization, and that they can go there by collecting 26 ancient relics scattered throughout the depths of the forest.Each relic is a letter from the English Alphabet.- Explore, Collect, Decide:
Traverse handcrafted 2D platforming levels, each with its own gimmick and multiple routes. Meet meerkat NPCs who drop lore, jokes, and references to other games and media. Collect eggs, uncover secrets, and seek out the mysterious Letter Entities tied to each relic.There is no combat.There are no dialogue choices at the end.To discover how the story concludes, you’ll have to play.- Game Features:

It can be beaten in less than 10 minutes if you memorize it. This game obviously isn't meant to be taken very seriously. It's clearly an amateur work. Controls and collision are pretty bad, and level design is sloppy and super basic. But the low production quality didn't really bother me at first. It only started to get on my nerves in later levels when the difficulty started going up, probably a bit higher than it should have. Some later levels were terribly frustrating. The game’s main gimmick is that the rules keep changing. Some levels have low gravity, some levels have platforms that blink invisible, or platforms you can climb. Some levels are just straight-up minigames. Even so, every level only feels like a proof-of-concept and doesn’t really do anything ambitious with the ideas.
