About RACE: Caterham Expansion
Celebrating the 50-year anniversary of Caterham Cars Ltd, RACE fans can now expand the WTCC Experience with this exceptional series of classic sportscars. RACE: CATERHAM introduces a total of 60 individual new cars/car skins based on some of the most exciting models in the Caterham sports car range, including the Caterham CSR 200, CSR 260 and the CSR 320 Concept, a concept version with a grueling 320hp.
Racers can run the cars on two exciting new tracks: the legendary Imola circuit and the former GP track Estoril.
RACE: CATERHAM includes new features that improve the original RACE game experience: improved performance scalability, a performance monitor to help the player find the best possible graphical settings, and a new controller interface with more options for joy-pad or keyboard/mouse controls.

Race - The Caterham Expansion is a Caterham themed expansion to the Race: The WTCC Game. You must own that game to play this, so it makes no sense they're selling it as a separate game when it could have just been a DLC in the store. Confusing customers is one of those things that makes me unlikely to recommend something. Like most racing games, you drive around a track in circles against AI enemies. The game works well enough, has customisable controls, and displays well in 4K with a number of graphics customisation options, thus meeting the minimum standard for any PC game. Unfortunately while there's nothing directly wrong with the game itself, it's very aged (released 14 years ago), there's a lot of competition and a lot of the newer racing games are much, much better (like Project Cars etc). If it was 2006, I might recommend this, but I can't today. Likewise, I can't recommend this because it can't be played without buying an entire other game.4 found this helpful

Tags: Driving & Racing - Simbin Additional Tags: Delete Local Content & Remove from Library TLDR: Play RaceRoom instead. SimBin whom made the Race07/WTCC/GT titles offers a variety of older racing games. Standout features are varied. Too dated. In theory one can make one of the most realistic steering wheel racing experiences using some of the IP Simbin has on offer. I think I remember saying they had attached a variety of sensors on real life cars and translated the data into the engine with impressive results. Being able to mod extensively seems an interesting avenue to streamline the content from all the products, improve the UI, add more tracks... I would start slow and proceed methodically, starting by hunting down discussion groups online or a fan site. Setting up a steering wheel is a dedicated passion project that requires quite a fair bit of logistics, it is a bit like VR, where you preferrably have to dedicate a space of your house for it. It is not for everyone. I am glad to own a copy of this series as it does seem to have quite a bit of quality features but the lack of accessibility, age and somewhat obscure qualities makes it best kept in the archive rather than…
