Rat Royal is a really fun asymmetrical multiplayer idea, and I liked how different the two sides feel from the moment a match begins. I can either play as a rat trying to cause chaos or become the exterminator hunting them down. That simple setup creates a nice change in perspective because one side is focused on sneaking and creating trouble while the other is trying to control the situation. Playing as a rat is my favorite part. I can use the environment to move around, slip through mouse holes and try to stay out of sight while causing problems for the exterminator. I liked the feeling of being small and vulnerable because it makes even simple movement feel important. Finding cheese to recover health also gives me another reason to search the map instead of constantly running away. The exterminator side plays completely differently. I have to search the environment, identify where the rats are hiding and use traps and other tools to deal with them. I enjoyed the cat and mouse feeling because the two sides are constantly reacting to each other. The destructible electrical elements also give the exterminator more opportunities to interfere with the rats' plans. The maps are des…
