The Reaktor Story:

One day, a bored engineer at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant modified the SKALA control program with a score function so it would be more fun to play. He began making larger and larger reactions, until one day he messed up and caused a meltdown. But he was addicted. Years later, he sneaked back into the rubble, stole the modified control code and published it as an internationally acclaimed video game called REAKTOR.

Let it be known that I originally had posted a negative review due to controller input issues, but the dev reached out to me almost immediately about it and has since fixed said issues in the beta version of the game. If you personally run into any issues with this game, know that there's a very high possibility of said issues actually being fixed if you let the dev know. Cool game, cool dev, gotta respect the grind of solo game development. Happy to recommend this!

A game everyone should try. This game needs more love! Runs wonderfully on Steam Deck. A perfect pickup and play game. Haven't tried multiplayer yet, but as a solo game, even if you only have a passing knowledge or interest in Tetris type games, this is absolutely worth picking up, you will not be disappointed!

This game is awesome! It manages to combine and remix classic Tetris mechanics with a new flavor of challenge in the form of the rotating field of play! There's something for veterans of the genre and newcomers alike, which makes it very approachable but still with a high skill ceiling :)

An excellent puzzle game! It has a wonderful vibe/design to it and fun mechanics that you can get a lot of play time out of. The only small downside is the X-Ray drop mechanics which are required for the higher levels were not super intuitive at first. The game has been updated a bit (also with a great new soundtrack!) so I think the latest UI may make it a little more clear. Great game!
