Move with the music to overcome even the most difficult hazards, like laser beams or insane camera angles trying to explode both your balls and your brain.
The dynamic music by Emmy-nominated composer Nicholas Singer is tailored to the rhythm and style of each level, with sound effects adjusting to the level's music. Without it, you'd fail even harder.
Not included. Instead, be guided by floor texts that make fun of you when you fail and drop awful puns even if you unexpectedly don't.
Discover secret areas that lead to other secret areas which in turn lead to other secret areas1. You get the idea, and maybe even the rainbow that awaits you at the end of the treasure. Probably you'll just google it though.
Replay levels in Rush mode as fast as you can and prove that you are a good person by beating other players' highscores.
Be rewarded with awesome bonus contents like tasty new colors2 and trail effects for your balls.
Community levels are probably better anyways - create and share your own challenges with the level editor.

Road to Ballhalla generally features simple patterns to bound through with most of the challenge coming from gimmicks and traps. As someone who doesn't have the patience for memorization and prefers to play by instinct, I was quite satisfied with the game's level design. The trailers for the game seem to focus more on the game's irreverent humour, but the gameplay is solid enough to stand on its own with the comedy being a bonus. Road to Ballhalla has a wide variety of gimmicks including both stage based obstacles such as needing to keep up with a pair of moving laser-blocking balls as well as mechanical gimmicks such as "hiccups" that cause your ball to periodically hop. While the basic goal is to reach the end of the stage, every main level is filled with orbs to pick up and features the optional challenge of collecting them all while also staying within a limited number of deaths. The challenge is optional, but going for it forces you to engage more with the level's gimmicks which typically results in more fun. Aside from the main stages, Road to Ballhalla also features numerous challenge stages. Most of these consist of "Rush" stages in which you attempt to clear stages as fa…2 found this helpful
Honestly this has been sitting in my backlog forever now, but I'm glad I gave it a chance! Solid game all around.
It's good for what it is, but it's a pretty simplistic game.
Starts off like a fairly simple but well executed rolling ball puzzle. Turns to sh*t in world 2 where the garbage-tier developer thinks making you die over and over again as a necessity to pass an area is somehow good design or in any way even remotely fun.
This game is okay. Marble rolling is a pretty well-trodden genre, but this game offers some interesting twists. The game is rhythmic; following the rhythm of the music will help. There are puzzle-like elements where you want to collect certain collectibles and need to figure out how you can get there. There are also some twists, like a level where you're "hiccupping". The game forces quite a lot of humor on you, both with awful puns and some trolling. You can see one on the trailer; the "Do Not Enter" hole is there just for silliness. Some people might enjoy it. I don't, but also, it's not enough to put me off the game. I just play the levels. There's also Workshop integration, so you can unleash similarly troll-y levels to the community. Overall, there might be a few things about the game that I wish could be better, but I think it's a recommend from me. It might be a marble rolling game, but it's quite unique, and it's worth trying.
