RPG. Pinball. Love the concept. Love this game. Ever since I heard there was a sequel coming, I knew I had to come back and finish this one. It's short and sweet, though I'll admit, I rage quit this game, twice, years ago on the second to last level. I finally came back to it. I forgot elements of the story, and how to use abilities, but not that level that turned me away twice before. Well, third try's the charm. Who knew pinball could have a story mode? Who knew it would actually be fun? If you like pinball and/or rpgs, definitely check out this unique blend. I just hope you're better at pinball than I am. Now I'm ready for the sequel! This is such a soulful and gentle game that I almost forgot to have pinball fear while playing it which made it so delightful I didn't think to leave a review. I just assumed it would succeed.

Really mediocre 1/5 kind of stuff, barely plays, gets in the way of fun, the only thing that it has going for it is that it's pinball related and they screwed that up too. Bad mechanics, mediocre art style and direction and uninspired and uninteresting gameplay.

Fun pinball variant. The different character powers are an interesting idea.
Rollers of the Realm puts a neat story twist on what is an arcade gameplay-first dominated Genre

Positives:

Rollers of The Realm can/will keep you busy for at least a couple hours.
The story, while short and somewhat simple, has its highs and nuanced moments. At worst you'll be indifferent to it and at best it will be a nice flavour to the pinball gameplay.
A nice thing is that some of the textboxes-style cutscenes have extra lines depending on what characters you have.
The Artstyle and character designs are charming imho, Phantom Compass is working on a follow up game which - sadly - goes for a different, 3d-based approach.

Negatives:

The Gameplay itself is fun, BUT can be icky at times though defo make sure you unlock extra characters in the market as they effectively serve as extra lives.
As stated above, the gameplay can be icky at times with maps that feel tedious
The Achievements and some of the unlockable passive abilities you can get from the shop are unnecessarily grindy compared to how "short" the campaign is. This only affects completionists though. [/lis…

A pinball game in which each ball is a character with a special ability. It's a crazy and very cool idea. A very entertaining game.
