Grind your way to escape, I guess.

-Overview-
Robowork is an open-world survival game based around crafting and resource management. The game is in a very early stage of development, and players must contend with deadly environmental hazards, and a limited energy supply that limits how far they can travel from their starting location. Unfortunately, Robowork is lacking all but the most basic elements of a survival game, and is bland, repetitive and generally unpleasant to play, especially at the start.
🎮Robowork can be played with both keyboard/mouse and controller, but there are no control/camera options.🎮

-Gameplay-

Basics:
Robowork features the basics of a survival game; resources to harvest and items to craft. This is essentially all players will be doing, as the world is tiny and devoid of anything to find or do besides harvesting the same resources over and over until one can build the rocket to escape the planet. The recharge point and crafting station are in a fixed location, so players will be spending the entire time in the same spot, and only …15 found this helpful
There are some things to like but this is just another in a long line of survival crafting games that will likely never see the light of full access. The robot sounds cool. The crafting doesn't work at all. It costs way too much. https://youtu.be/0U-YHeC-KZk12 found this helpful
I <3 love this game. So much ocd mining, gathering , building , planning , learning. It's nice to have a game not so focused on the end game or xp grind. It's 3d which is definitely a benefit for me, the graphics are beautiful. It is third person, which i've learned to deal with it's not too obtrusive with the character in the way. The method of dealing with the interface is very different than most. equipping things, etc. The learning curve can be real as I discovered different things, how to expand. Where to find resources, that I couldn't find before. I hear a big update is upcoming, if what i've seen in the discord via the devs is any sign it's going to be amazing:) Definitely worth checking out, Hop in the discord, come chat. Come play:) some fun tips: can't find wood? .. run around the pod looking things appear to be more there. Also careful while running through the woods they are littered on the ground. A good relaxing easy going game. I love it, one of a handful of games i've purchased on steam, out of the 6000+ games i've sorted through on "discovery queue" .. but i'm particular I suppose. It's got some bugs, but easily reportable in the discord directly to the devs, b…5 found this helpful
This game has a unique look and play to it which I find refreshing. To many games now have the same crafting look. Since it is not like all other survival games stick with it at the beginning to get the hang of it's windows, I love the realistic look of the environment, and every aspect of the game plays well for me so far. The only issue I've had is the storage container that follows will sometimes disappear, but I have told the dev and in hopes that will be fixed. I do wish we had a way at the start to make a flat area to put our stations and drop items so they would not get lost or covered by the environment, like a foundation placement to start with. Other than the small issues I've had here I like the game very well & I see potential in the game succeeding as long as the dev stays active. A "Thumbs Up" for me and waiting to see where this goes.4 found this helpful
