About Rope Up!

Hook On and Climb
Rope Up! is a first-person rope action vertical climbing game.
Shoot your rope, latch on, swing, and climb higher.

Test Your Aim
Watch your target and shoot your rope carefully.
One mistake can send you falling, but you can always climb again.

Choose Your Mode
Chicken Mode supports checkpoint saves and checkpoint respawns for a more forgiving climb.
Tyranno Mode autosaves every 2 seconds for a more tense challenge.

Play with Friends
In multiplayer, you can play both Chicken Mode and Tyranno Mode with friends.
In Chicken Mode, when one player reaches a checkpoint, it is shared with the team so everyone can respawn there.
Multiplayer supports checkpoints, but does not support saving and continuing progress later.

A first-person Foddian game centered around grappling. I used a key provided by the developer. The goal is just to climb up through a bunch of floating objects. Since you can hook onto any surface and hold the grapple indefinitely, easy. Most mistakes happen when you miss your aim on small or thin objects or misjudge the distance and fire from too far away. It’s a bit unique for a Foddian game because it rewards FPS-style aiming skills. The sense of speed you get from building momentum and cutting through the air is good. To make aiming easier, you usually fire the grapple at the peak of your jump when you momentarily stall. That rhythm of fast movement followed by a brief pause to aim feels satisfying. It is a short game that only takes about an hour to clear, but it is worth a look if you enjoy grappling mechanics and platformers.
