✦ AI summary
Players have mixed opinions on this arcade slasher survival game. Those enjoying it praise the simple controls, casual gameplay loop, fun endless waves mechanic, and dark atmosphere, with some finding it worthwhile for the price. However, critics raise significant concerns about it being an asset flip with unoriginal content, poor crediting practices, and monotonous gameplay, while supporters of the game note it would benefit from cosmetic additions like achievements and trading cards.
A mix of arcade slasher and survival with RPG elements. The aim of the game is to get as far through endless waves of enemies as you can. Gameplay: https://youtu.be/Fhwql5SshzE You get coins for killing enemies and can spend them to increase health, damage or speed. The controls are simple and the gameplay is monotonous. I would recommend her to people who are looking for a casual or easy gaming experience.5 found this helpful
Warning: Asset Flip! Royalevia is a Digital Homicide style asset flip, or what Valve calls a "Fake Game". The "developer" paid for/pirated a few Unity asset store assets, dumped them all in a blender, and submitted it to Valve as if they're real game developers.
Two notable criteria for what makes an asset flip instead of legitimate use of stock assets are whether those assets comprise the majority of the game, and whether the "developer" properly credited the people who created most of the assets in the game. This game fails both of those tests. The "developers" here didn't credit any of the artists and real, actual game developers who created the assets here, so this is plagiarism, as well as cash grab shovelware. In this case, the asset flipper took a basic Unity blueprint for a top down shooter/brawler and skinned it with stolen sprites and tilesets and dumped it on Steam quickly as a cash grab/scam. It has no value or merit as a real game. Taking this shovelware seriously as if it was a genuine attempt to make a game, it doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard…4 found this helpful
In general, you can have a good time. There are a few drawbacks, but they are cosmetic. The game is fun and seems endless. Add achievements and trading cards to it.3 found this helpful
I like this type of games
I like the style of the game there are small flaws but not critical. It's now sold as a set for less.
Great game, dark atmosphere, worth the money. Highly recommend it!
