About SAND: Raiders of Sophie
Welcome to SAND: Raiders of Sophie. Pilot your custom built war machines across the dunes of a fallen planet, battle rival players, scavenge for loot, weapons, ammo and resources, survive and extract with your spoils in a massive procedurally generated world.Out here on Sophie, a raider is only as strong as their Trampler. Fully customizable, gigantic walking mechs that shield you from the elements, defend you and your loot from rival scavengers and rain destruction on anything that obstructs your pursuit of becoming the most notorious raider upon the dunes!
No matter your playstyle, you can design a trampler to support it.
Forge your fortress, dominate the desert
Design a modular trampler where your creativity and will to succeed is your only limit.Build an impenetrable fortress that can weather the deadliest of assaults, a walking war machine stacked with mounted turrets and firepower, something small and stealthy to get you out of trouble as quickly as you get into it or a chaotic jumble of modules to confuse and disorient your enemies. No matter your playstyle, you can design a trampler to support it.
Squad up or go solo
Get your crew together, or go solo as you embark on expeditions. Deploy into the world, chart your course, and scavenge cities, ruins, shipwrecks and other remnants of a fallen world for loot. Survive encounters with the mysterious supernatural Upiors, fight or talk your way out of confrontations with other players, locate your extract point and escape to the safety of the orbital station with your loot, life and Trampler intact.PvPvE action
Smoke on the horizon, the groans of the undead echoing through the cities, and the distant rumble of sand all signal danger. Every city looted, shipwreck scoured or ill-timed encounter with other scavengers might just be your last, so keep your wits about you. There are no friends on Sophie, the only ones you can trust are you and yours.Choose how you brave the dunes…
Design your Tramplers from scratch in the Trampler Editor before deploying into the world. Test your builds and scavenge lower-tier items at your own pace in Voyage Mode, or raise the stakes in Storm Dive for higher-tier loot and greater rewards, where as sandstorms slowly engulf the region, the risk of confrontations with other scavengers and the loss of your hard earned loot increases. What Steam players say

With the game besieged by negative reviews made by people who played a couple of matches and left because of some inconvenience they experienced in an EA title, I've decided to leave a positive review. The game actually deserves it for what it is, and most importantly, what it's trying to achieve. Firstly, the game suffered from two major issues which caused the early wave of negatives: -Server instability during first week which caused some matches to crash, returning everyone back to base. This issue is already solved and the servers are mostly stable now. I haven't seen it but there might be some minor issues. Never had a match interrupted for a long time now though. -A cheater wave ~1 week ago. The devs, as with all such competitive games with resource collection (Rust, DayZ, Tarkov etc) are locked in a fight. So far, after the initial struggle, it looks like they got their things in order and solved the worst of the cheating. This game also has potential to be a bit more resistant to cheats simply due to its nature. Most fights are at range and bullets have dropoff and travel time. Wallhack would also be mostly useless. Both issues are under control now and the devs are re…2 found this helpful

♥♥♥♥ game cant get passed going up my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ladder before getting kicked for sus activity, going to hack my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ass off now on new account because of the 60 hours of wasted time due to incompetent devs and AC
the best pirate game without being a pirate game
The server stability issues and the hacking that most of the negative reviews bring to attention have long since been fixed. A robust anti-cheat has been implemented, no more cheating, no more DDoS attacks. The devs have been insanely diligent at rolling out updates, not just bugs but game balance issues (looking at you 70mm smoke shell) are fixed not long after the community makes note of them. With that preface out of the way, this is a game that scratches a particular itch. It is an extraction shooter, you can enter either a battle royale mode or a persistent map that doesn't have a timer, loot, kill, raid, and extract with what you can. Another part of it is Rust style base raiding, blowing open doors and entering an enemy camp in search of loot and slaughter. Except that base has legs and you might need to ram it with your base before you can board it. And that's where this game shines, the ship to ship combat. It has been superficially compared to Sea of Thieves and Guns of Icarus, but how it enthralls you is hard to put into words. The sound design is impeccable, cannon fire sounds satisfying to unleash, distant explosions actually sound distant, but not faint. The art st…
Shid was fun at first now you just get hacked on or go up against people with maxed out tramplers so you cant progress. fix the game then it will be somewhat fun.
