It was weird when it released, but it has gotten much better over years. I’ve been playing on and off for years and finally decided to write a review. On the plus side: The gameplay loop is fun, there is a plenty of different modes, and you don't even need to play against real players if you don't want to. (Expert bots are better than 70% of the playerbase, beware, they are scary). The game also has good optimization. On the downside: Most players are on the asian server, so expect longer queue times if you are elsewhere. The learning curve is also rather steep; being stunlocked until you figure out all the animation cancels and timings is basically a given. (Again, expert bots are a good learning tool here). Overall, if you are interested in wuxia themes, battle royale, or extraction modes, it's definitely worth a try. Game is f2p but you can only buy cosmetics, no gameplay related power items.1 found this helpful
I don't know if I can recommend. I have been playing Bot matches to get better at the game. on easy diff, everything seems normal, to the point where it gets a little boring... makes sense. on medium diff, like one of the commends below: if you like to get insta countered and not have the opportunity to counter, this game is for you. pvp matches, seems fine, but you gotta know your stuff... bot matches, no matter how good you think you are, enemies will gank on you, be on your tail, insta fully charge heavies, and go to the final 2 just to die out of the blue and the enemy bot the win. not to mention that enemy weapons do not lose durability. this game needs some serious balancing when it comes to bots.
