About Saving Punyville
You are a burnt out fellow living an aimless life. Your grandpa lives in a mansion in town, but long ago kicked you out because of your various personal problems. The townspeople of Punyville, fixated on the treasures of a nearby cave, ventured inside with innocent hopes of fortune. But there were creatures inside. These creatures captured the townspeople of Punyville, locking them in dungeons. It is up to you to venture into those dark dungeons to free them. You will collect treasures along the way, meet new friends, and fight bosses. Buy weapons from Tracy's shop. Visit the alchemist to stock up on potions. Go to the local hospital if you are in need of care. Take a trip to Ecco's castle to learn how to harness the power of magic.

"Saving Punyville" is a poorly-designed, free-to-play, indie RPG dungeon crawler, at least according to the devs. In reality, this is a very basic, poorly made 2D top down twin-stick shooter with lightweight RPG elements glued on with library paste. The storyline involves a disillusioned person trying to save the townspeople of Punyville, who were captured in a nearby "dungeon". What do you do in the game? Topdown shooting through pixelcrap dungeons with a goal of "rescuing" other pixel blobs. None of this is implemented well, the gameplay here is worse than the visuals. This features really godawful pixelcrap "art" instead of real graphics. It's hard to say if this was because the developer didn't have the skill to do the job of creating 3D visuals, or couldn't afford to hire someone who does, but it also doesn't matter. What matters is that this looks much worse than most other games because of that decision, and that's a major deterrent to gamers. Games like Terraria and Stardew Valley succeeded despite the bad graphics, not because of them. On the matter of pricing and value for gamers, most "free" games on Steam aren't really free. There's often nasty mobile …1 found this helpful
Before I played Saving Punyville, I had a small pp, no friends, no gf, depression, and no life. These things havent changed, but the game is pretty good
1 found this helpful
Can't sell items at all... yeah I'm not really a fan... feels like a scuffed bullet hell more than a dungeon crawler1 found this helpful
i like
