Crawlers and Brawlers, developed and published by Ugly Beard Games, LLC, is a pixelated action RPG that combines dungeon crawling, class-based combat, loot collection, and multiplayer brawling into a single package that leans heavily on nostalgia while embracing modern mechanics. Drawing clear inspiration from retro RPGs of the 8- and 16-bit eras, it offers a blend of familiar genre elements with a few novel twists, creating an experience that feels both old-school and surprisingly versatile. While the game doesn't reach the complexity of larger titles in the genre, it provides an accessible and engaging experience, especially for players who enjoy fast-paced cooperative or competitive gameplay. The gameplay centers around procedurally generated dungeons that players explore as one of three classes: warrior, mage, or cleric. Each class plays distinctly, with the warrior favoring melee, the mage focusing on ranged magical attacks, and the cleric providing a hybrid of offense and healing support. The class system is simple but effective, giving players just enough flexibility to suit their preferred playstyle without overwhelming them with stats or overly complex skill trees. Feels like an AI slop....
+Plenty of content +Plays relatively smoothly -Linear progression -> no real builds or anything like that -Extremely grindy and repetitive = Neutral review, but since I wouldn't recommend such game to myself I won't do it to you either.
