The game is as advertised. A group of school girls fighting off zombies with guns. Don't expect it to be anything other than what it is. Like other Tamsoft games, the gameplay can be fun if you don't take the plot too seriously. Be prepared for infinitely spawning enemies all around you and arbitrary time limits during missions. Headshots are important. Each of the five playable characters are leveled individually with a surprising amount of customization options. I went in with low expectations and was pleasantly surprised with how much game there is. Worth if on sale or in a bundle.7 found this helpful
A few days ago marked my 28th year of pain and suffering and i wanted to gift myself something stupid. It specifically had to be stupid otherwise it wasn't gonna be worth it. I just wanted to relive a type of experience that is very nostalgic to me: that of playing a really low budget and janky game, possibly from Japan, but not necessarily. That kind of low budget garbo that seems to be on the brink of exctintion nowadays but was so prevalent in the PS2 and PS3 era, the missing link between movie licenced games and a the more competent B-tier titles that may have garnered a following, like No More Heroes for example. Your Shellshocks 2 of the world, your Morph Xs, Your Fractures, your Vampire Rains. God, you remember Vampire Rain? I should write a review on that too. Either way, after skimming through the increasinly worse "related games" section on the pages of Steam stuff i already owned, School Girl/Zombie Hunter was the answer to my prayers. 30 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ euros for a 2018 game plus the most pointless and fragmented DLCs you'll ever see, but my birthday wasn't gonna wait for a sale, so i bit. What's School Girl/Zombie Hunter all about, then? Well, it's a third person shooter se…5 found this helpful
Can't really recommend this to anyone unless you are looking for a bad game or you want to look for something with mildly entertaining gimmicks. Things like luring zombies with outfits thrown on to the ground and underwear; quite funny. I suppose you could appreciate such absurdities as a person of culture of looking at girls in underwear all day, but even still this game is like barely passable even when it is on sale. In no way, shape or form should this have ever been 45 CAD. The technicals are that the game at least will runs on a toaster considering the games age, but its hardly a spectacle even when it released. IT has multiple issues such as lack of 1440p support and no ultrawide support. The game is locked to 62 fps cap with mouse acceleration enabled with with less then bare miniumu keybind support (can't bind inputs to mouse side buttons). There is no borderless window support so if you have a monitor that doesn't have support resolution you are stuck with windowed because fullscreen will force a resolution not compatiable to your monitor aspect ratio. There are engine.ini and gamesetting.ini alterations that can be made to use raw mouse input, and fix the frame rate ca…1 found this helpful
I do understand low budget and all but it's quite inexcusable how the game works, or rather it how it does not work Controls are very clunky and gunplay feels like something straight out from 2011's, it is pretty bad and rough around the edges Story is...there? Very bland it is And probably the main reason why people bought this game, Fanservice, It's there in few instances, such as: destructible clothes, unlockable lingerie and plenty of upskirt angles, it works but too bad that mediocre fanservice is the only positive that i have to bring up about this game Unreal Engine at it's finest1 found this helpful
want a hac-n-slash game but guns instead? fan of games like senran kagura or oneechanbara? then this is for you! honestly i dont understand people complaning, it's a decent game, and feels like a ps3 era game. If you like anime, zmbies, and 3ps, you'll like it. Yes it has fanservice, no it is not all it has to offer. Gameplay is genuinely a challenge at times. Story isnt like SSS Class, but i'd call it a solid B, with your typical "friendship is power" plot. Try it for yourself, and don't judge the negative reviews who clearly nereded to get gud and go back to ezsouls 2
If you are looking for a true trash game and not just a clunky game, then look no further. I really like Tamsoft's seemingly trashy titles because usually they have good mechanics and depth to them. However, this game truly only has good VA, and that's it. Seems like Tamsoft tried to use UE and their training test project they released, despite being absolutely raw (they didn't even delete default UE fade-outs during cutscenes). Play only if you want to make a top or review with absolute trash games.
