But not because the level is difficult, but because everything is hard to see. The graphics are really specific, but it gives a certain vibe. I really liked that the levels are huge. You’ll always have to run somewhere, fight with someone, do something. And it drags on for a long time. In general, the game is cool, just go in and play once, taking a break from super realistic AAA projects. In Shrine of the Forest God, it's not just about what you see it's about what you don't. The absence of life, the distant echoes, the feeling that something, somewhere, is aware of you. It creeps up on you without warning.

A nice atmospheric platformer that plays to its strengths. Trippy environments with a cohesive artstyle and purely visual storytelling invite curiosity throughout the game. The sick music keeps the high points high and the laid back exploration chill. Definitely a promising debut with a lot of heart from the dev. Hope to see more in the future.

Very good game to lose yourself in, this was a nice getaway from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. There were multiple times throughout play where I would hang out with the NPCs for a bit and chill listening to the soundtrack. Reminds me of the days playing Spyro just running around the levels looking for secrets. I can't wait to see more!
