Silent Earth

While it's not terrible it felt like it had little point.

"Silent Earth" is a frankly awful, failed attempt at making a text adventure, which could have been done in a browser, but the developers decided it needs to compete with GTA:V and CS:GO here on Steam. It's not free, the developers want some money, but it looks like they failed to get any as the peak player count shows. What do you do in the game? Click on text in this garbage CYOA e-book (not game). Modern gaming, being a rich, visually interactive medium, requires at least passable visuals for any acceptable entry into the annals of the industry. Here, the developers didn't know how to do that, so you just get some static pictures and a bunch of text. Like I said, this could have been a web page. I don't think Steam was intended to compete with Chrome and Firefox. This is only free in a rudimentary sense... the developer has their hand out for a $4 USD "donation" for this as you're expected to buy some extra DLC from Steam... digital panhandling. Like the homeless guys who splash dirty water on your windscreen at the traffic lights. No thanks. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 3…

This game is very interesting and story rich. It's text-based interface reminds me of that one google assistant game.

Short, making it longer down each path would make it better

Опустошенный мир, окутанный тишиной и загадками, создает невероятно гнетущую, но при этом притягательную атмосферу. Исследование локаций выполнено на высшем уровне, каждый уголок хранит в себе частичку истории трагедии, произошедшей здесь. Геймплей хоть и не блещет новизной механик, но прекрасно отшлифован и сбалансирован. Решение головоломок логично и доставляет удовольствие, а редкие встречи с враждебными существами заставляют напрячься и проявить смекалку. Отдельно стоит отметить звуковое сопровождение – оно идеально подчеркивает атмосферу и постоянно держит в напряжении. Несмотря на меланхоличное настроение 'Silent Earth', игра оставляет после себя светлое послевкусие. Это история о надежде, выживании и поиске истины в мире, который утратил былое величие. Определенно рекомендую всем любителям атмосферных приключений и головоломок.
