About Sky of Destruction

Sky of Destruction is a top-down shooter created by a team of two people.
Before starting a mission, select a combination of three types of aircraft in your fleet, which will help you during the mission.
Your goal is to destroy the enemy aircraft carrier or buildings, breaking through the enemy air armada.

Switch between planes during the mission. If your plane was hit, it’s not the end of the game, the extermination of the enemy does not stop. But keep your aircraft carrier safe.

Pump a lot of parameters of your aircraft with a large selection of items that you will receive with the successful completion of missions. Each aircraft has its own inventory of individual form.
Put items in the most effective way.

Enjoy the juicy explosions of enemy buildings and their physical destruction.
Explosions and total destruction!

I haven’t figured it all out yet, but it’s already interesting.

Not bad for a starting studio. They have some good concepts and the game is enjoyable, with a decent amount of challenge.

Gameplay is very very repetitive. You do the same thing over and over again. Fly to the enemy base, hope you don't get hit and destroy enemy fighters/base. Mission over, move some parts around, repeat. The campaign is randomly generated, but from what I played, I got the same map. It's a shame, because it looked really interesting.

It's fun but the controls don't work. You have to swap to mouse and keyboard between missions to do anything.

I thought Sky of Destruction would be an aerial top-down action game — something like a modern version of the classics from my childhood: Desert Strike, Jungle Strike, Urban Strike, and the like. And it is that — but with some light strategy elements (since you can give simple commands to other combat vehicles in your fleet) and a touch of RPG (you collect parts to upgrade your ships). So far, so good. The tutorial could definitely be better — if you can even call it that. It took me about ten minutes just to figure out how to shoot. Movement feels... a bit odd. It also took a while before I stopped crashing my ship straight into rocks and obstacles. As for the maps — I fought about five or six battles on supposedly different ones, but honestly, they all looked nearly identical, aside from a few rocks being in different places. Still, considering this is an indie game made by just two people, it’s actually fun once you give it a bit of time to figure things out. I think I can give it a thumbs up. 👍 Video: https://youtu.be/YRQ1B6XNOTs

Kiting the flying game. If you select controller and have a PS5 controller you have to go into the local files and delete the input.txt file or you will not be able to do anything as the game didn't recognize my controller and did not let me switch to keyboard and mouse. A pretty barebones top down bullet hell plane shooter that reminded me of the classic Playstation Network/Xbox store games of ye olden days. I think it has a couple cool concepts like the way you unlock new ships being a sort of puzzle and upgrades are always welcome in this kind of game. My biggest issue was that the core gameplay loop of destroying carriers was just me flying in a circle while my squadron kept ignoring my orders and getting my carrier destroyed. Feels like there was some ideas that didn't get fully fleshed out. I enjoyed my time with the game but don't see myself going back or recommending it to others.
