The full remake of the second installment in the FATAL FRAME (PROJECT ZERO) series titled FATAL FRAME / PROJECT ZERO II: Crimson Butterfly. The signature Camera Obscura mechanic, used to capture and fend off spirits, remains a key feature, now offering richer and more engaging gameplay in both exploration and combat. In addition, the new "Holding Hands with Mayu" mechanic adds a heartfelt touch, letting you experience the deep bond between the sisters like never before.

It pains me a lot to give this game a not recommended with how good the visuals and atmosphere is but man the combat is an absolute slog to go through, the ghosts are HP sponges that take way too long to be defeated and the game throws way too many of them too often, the fatal frame mechanic which was arguably the most fun thing to do in the other games has been ruined with this shutter chance thing they added. I completed Mask of the Lunar Eclipse and despite a few things I didn't like about the game I had a great time with it so much so that I bought Crimson Butterfly right after and this game so far is leaving me mostly frustrated with the clash between visuals - atmosphere and the frustrating, tedious gameplay.1 found this helpful
Thought I really wouldn't like the filter and camera changes but I came around to them. Once you master it and get it down to a science combat becomes really fun. However on the higher difficulties the ghost spawns can get very overwhelming especially when trying to do side missions. That being said I did enjoy going through the game multiple times to get all the achievements, However the amount of points needed to unlock costumes is just absurd. I hope they continue to remaster/remake the old fatal frame games. This is a very underrated series and I wish it got more love.
It good
.
really good survival horror game, probably the most difficult ive played yet because the camera combat is so unique and different. Great ambience and stories. area is a bit small to explore, a lot of backtracking and theres not a lot of puzzles or difficulty in puzzles.
You managed to put too much ghosts into a ghost game. Congrats I guess
