About SomethingWithSpace

A desolate and derelict station has been uncovered. You've been tasked with investigating, only to find the station's automated defenses are still active! Where did this place come from? How is it still... "alive"... ?

In this arcade space shooter, you pilot a ship equipped with bullet-buddies and take on an onslaught of attacks from alien-like automata (and organisms!?). Luckily, your ship is adaptable to some technology provided by the encounter, such as ship repair and weapon upgrades! Don't deploy too many bullet buddies, your ship's hull has only so much material it can use to fabricate mobile turrets! Use the ship's ultima-beam as a way of bull-dozing away much of what stands to hold you back!

What lies beyond the veil of space and uncharted territory?

Controls:
Mouse - Moves the ship
Left Click - Primary Fire
Right Click - Ultima-beam
1-4 - Spawn Bullet Buddy
Left Shift - Speed up
Left Ctrl - Slow Down

This also helps me get through school! Hope you enjoy!

✦ AI summary

Players praise the game's charming Game Boy-style visuals, smooth animations, and interesting mechanics like speed control and the HP-for-turrets trade-off system, though they note the brutal difficulty can be off-putting. The main criticism is that the experience feels incomplete—it's very short and ends abruptly without a proper boss or conclusion, leaving players wanting more from what could be a full game, though the core design shows promise.

A neat lil' space shooter, with a great gameboy-ish art style, smooth animation, and butt-breaking difficulty. It has a cool mechanic where you can speed up, or slow how fast you scroll, and a system that lets you trade HP for turrets. Despite the difficulty it's VERY short, and when you reach the end, it just says "End of demo" and...doesn't really stop? You just keep flying endlessly with no more enemies. It needed a boss, and a real ending, but was really solid otherwise! I'd play a full game of this.

It was something of a mistake with its lazy design choices.
