About Soul Mates
Early Development Build
This game is still in development, and we'll be adding the next few characters over the coming months. We'd love to get some feedback on what you think of the game so far.
About
Your friend is missing. She disappeared while conducting a paranormal investigation at the local abandoned manor. Determined to find her, you make your way to the property - ill-prepared for the oppressive darkness of the house, the unnatural cold of its rooms, and whatever malevolent power it is that locks you inside once you’re there.
Before you can find your friend, the angry ghosts that haunt the manor find you.
You must run, hide, do whatever it takes to survive as terrible specters chase you through the lightless halls. Your sanity won’t last long in the face of their psychic attacks. Soon you’ll be consumed by fear, your very life hanging in the balance, and… Hold up. Is that ghost kinda cute?
Soul Mates is a point-and-click survival horror game from the creators of the idle dating sim Crush Crush! Explore a crumbling haunted house to uncover clues, find hidden objects, and solve puzzles, all while fleeing (and maybe flirting with?) the wretched ghosts that seek to devour your soul. As you piece together the story of what happened here, you might find things aren’t quite what they seem… and the ending of your story might be happier than you predicted.

Got recommended this a while back and finally got around to playing through everything available at this time (four character routes), and it's pretty fun. The character interactions are probably the best part, even with the cheesy dialogue. Most of the puzzles were straight forward, but a couple of them had me going "how does this make sense?" and it was mostly the ones that required the inventory to interact with objects in game. Not sure if it's how they detect where you are clicking, or something else but those felt like I was going insane trying to use the correct items the way they're intended. The hint system was a little lacking when I felt I needed it, since it would tell me "your goal is to get x item, y item and z item"...when I already had them. One inventory puzzle stumped me and I felt like an idiot once I realized what I was supposed to do though. I think the only other thing that got a little tiring was a lot of the interactions with clickable items on the screen were very quippy, and could have been lessened a little. It's not quirky if *every* line is quirky. I would have appreciated a little more flavor text. The actual item descriptions were generally very helpf…
A cute little game about helping out ghost girls finish their business and pass on. It's not finished yet and its kinda short but its still fun for what it is. My only real complaint is that the monster versions of the ghosts all look better and more detailed than the helped versions. A stylistic choice obviously but still... a couple of the girls almost look better before being helped then after XD
I loved the game. Can't wait for the floor/level 5!
really fun liked all the puzzles:3
This game is amazing! The only reason I stopped playing when I did was the next chapter isn't finished yet! Seriously, it is very enjoyable!
10/10 would go ghost hunting again
