Burglin Gnomes is a really enjoyable and fun game, especially when playing with friends. The gameplay is entertaining, and it has a great sense of humour and charm that makes you want to keep coming back for more. I don’t really have anything majorly negative to say about the game. Like with all early access titles, there are going to be the occasional bugs and small issues while development continues, but nothing I have experienced has taken away from the overall enjoyment. A few things I have personally noticed include the old man occasionally getting stuck inside a room and then suddenly teleporting to where you are. I have seen this happen on two separate occasions. There are also some inconsistencies with certain crafted items, such as the spring boots. Sometimes they work perfectly, but other times it feels like you are hoping they decide to work when you need them. Since these are crafted items, I think they should have a more reliable function. I have also noticed some clipping issues, such as the old man being able to grab you through the wall of the house and pick you up while you are outside. Overall, these are minor issues that come with an early access game and do…

This game is a fun concept, we definitely had a good time with it. The problem is that the enjoyment wears off fairly quickly because there just isn't enough content to keep you coming back. I generally enjoy open-ended games that don't necessarily have a defined end goal, so the lack of direction isn't what bothered me. The issue is that progression feels shallow. You can upgrade your house, but it doesn't seem to provide much of a reason to do so. Likewise, there are plenty of items to unlock, but we found ourselves able to buy nearly everything we wanted within the first couple of in-game days. The daily objectives also feel a little inconsistent. Rather than gradually increasing in difficulty, they seem almost entirely random. One playthrough might start with several easy days in a row, while another throws a difficult objective at you on day one. It makes progression feel more dependent on RNG than on your group's experience or skill. I think there's a solid foundation here. With more content, additional encounters, random events, new enemies, or more meaningful progression, I could see this becoming a game that keeps people engaged for a long time. As it stands, though, i…
