About Space Chef
A three-course meal of an adventure: restaurant manager, light survival RPG, and life sim, all set in the zany universe of the Horseshoe Nebula. As the galaxy's (soon to be) premiere chef, it's up to you to seek out the finest ingredients from alien planets, cook delicious dishes, and serve them to customers in the comfort of your fully-customisable space trailer.

Explore Alien Worlds
There's a whole universe of ingredients out there... if they don't eat you first. Explore distant planets, derelict space stations, and your own basement for plants, critters, and other tasty morsels.Along the way, you'll come across space pirates, ancient ruins, and a suspiciously high number of recently abandoned restaurants. Keep an eye out for rare resources (and bits of random junk) that you can use to upgrade your gear, kitchen equipment, and spaceship.

TL;DR :: There's a lot to love about Space Chef, but most players aren't going to have the [strike]insanity[/strike] patience and time to grind through the bad to get to the good. - [i]Space Chef[/i] features a lot I often look for: Hands off exploration (on foot and in-vehicle), variety in all aspects, resource gathering, cooking, farming, unique quests (no radiant/fetch), romance, character customization, interior design, and a unique world that feels lived-in. Despite housing all of these, it excels in few and still does a poor job of blending them to work well together. Quests descriptions are useless. Often they don't update at all (even after making progress), refusing to show what's been done and what needs to be done. For example, the first quest, "Find Grandma" remains and no further direction is given. Eventually, when the game feels you've done enough (you're checking an invisible box here), the quest updates, and you'll exhaust all options concerning the new objective, once again feeling stuck as it's placed on hold with no explanation. It's a cute game, but I had to stop because the game crashed multiple times and I lost a whole days worth of progress, because it seems to only save after the day is over. It doesn't look very hopeful the devs will be fixing any bugs.
A BIt unintuitive and repetetiv at the end, but still good and funny. it reminds me a lot of gravyard keeper.
I thought I would enjoy this game, but it frustrates you at every turn. Progression path is extremely narrow. You have to get this certain item from this particular NPC to then open a path to this area. This item cannot be acquired any other way. And whole sections of the game is closed off to you if you don't do what the developers want you to do in the exact way they want. And then there are the pirates that attack you as you make deliveries. and the only way to stop the attacks is to appease their boss. The game gives you very limited ways to defend yourself. The only way, to solve this is to befriend the boss and serve him food through a quest. Really? Appeasement? And the exhaustion system is extremely harsh. Your character is tired after a short while and refuses to do anything useful when tired. And the idea of day/night cycle in SPACE, is also ridiculous. I tried to like it. But the developers want to frustrate you unless you play it the way they want you to play, instead of leting you play it the way you want.
