Your desk is your battlefield. Passports pile up. The queue grows restless. Check documents against the ever-changing laws, stamp your judgment, and pray you made the right call. When a potato makes a break for it, you've got missiles. Just make sure you're shooting at the guilty ones.Between shifts, 5 minigames break up the paperwork: scan documents with UV light, sort stamps at lightning speed, match fingerprints, crack codes Wordle-style, and chase contraband down conveyor belts.Evidence Destruction

Comparisons with Papers, Please will be unavoidable, but unfortunately, there's no reason to play Spud Customs instead of Papers, Please. The gameplay/mechanics in Spud Customs is less developed, the story less interesting, and it contains more bugs and questionable design choices. Like in Papers, Please, you are essentially acting as a border patrol agent, inspecting travel documents and deciding whether to let someone across the border or not. In Papers, Please, as you progress through the game, the rules you need to enforce gradually become more complex, and more documents are introduced, requiring you to cross-reference all the data presented to you. Occasionally, you may need to question the person attempting to cross the border, only to receive a satisfactory answer for some oddity in their documents. Not so in Spud Customs: You're only ever given one document, their passport. There is no cross-referencing across multiple documents. The rules you need to enforce are randomized, but do not become increasingly complex as the game goes on. The gameplay you experience on day 1 is identical to that you experience on the last day. Had a fun time stamping documents and blowing up potatoes that tried to get around me. I didn't pay much attention to the story, but the key parts I saw were wild lmao.2 found this helpful
A simple but clever story game where your choices shape the fate of the Potato Nation. You're in charge of visas, rockets, and decisions that actually change what happens. It’s easy to play, doesn’t take itself too seriously, and has a surprisingly interesting story. I have to admit that hitting a potato with a rocket is harder than it looks. This game was a very pleasant experience that took me through a story i very much enjoyed. the mechanics were wonderful and the time i spent playing i was able to beat the game in less that 3 hours. the global leader boards were a very nice touch. the potato themed experience was making me laugh however i do think a update with more ways to check spuds may be in order.1 found this helpful
Honestly, at first I didn't believe the game would be so fun. There are a lot of things to keep in mind while allowing or denying visas. I like the visuals, sounds, gameplay & you can run this game on the potato a.k.a every PC. There's even a demo, so you have no excuse not to test it out now. Support indie devs!1 found this helpful
